Truth.

Had CFA today, tried the soup for the first time, excellent as expected. Spicy chicken and frosted lemonade also on point. I would have zero trouble putting down $30 worth of CFA.

I went to Arby's today (in honor of Bighurt). Damn dining room was closed due to a remodel. Grrr.

Opted for a $4 double stack meal at Wendy's.

I checked out the Carl's Jr Sliders yesterday. Tasty, but not good value. They're really tiny (yes, I'm aware they're sliders). It's $1 for a single, $1.50 for a double and $2.00 for a triple. The triple is probably the same amount of food as a McDouble, so it's a little overpriced at $2. Should just be like $1.50.

Nice surprise was that I happened to go during an hour in the afternoon that they deem Happy Hour, where all double sliders are $1, which is probably priced right where it should be.

Had the mushroom swiss at Wendy's a few days ago, after hearing the glowing reviews itt. Kind of a let down, sadly. The mushrooms were ice cold, as was the cheese. I also asked for an extra side of the mushroom aioli, and the drive thru lady's head nearly exploded from the unfamiliarity of that word (which is what they call it). She responds, "sir, we don't have no ravioli." I repeat, "no, the aioli. The mushroom aioli." I get a blank stare. "The mayo" I say. "The mushroom mayo." She yells back into the kitchen "Gimme mayo!" and hands me a regular mayo.

Oh well

With the Carl's double sliders being $1 from 2 to 5, I got plenty full on $4.32 yesterday afternoon.

If it was the one off of El Toro that you went to then good! That place is in desperate need of a remodel.

I remember ordering 100 nuggets from McDonald's once for my bowling team and the drive thru girl goes "20 piece the biggest we got". "Ok, let me get 5 of them please"....."Sir!!!! We got 4 piece, 6 piece, 10 and 20!!!" I facepalmed so hard I almost broke my nose and went to Chik-Fil-A for the 100 piece platter.

How do these people get through a job interview?

Subway is ahead of both of them. What does that say about the relevancy of the ranking?

Blame entry level office workers and the fact that there's a Subway and Starbucks in 9/10 strip malls. 10/10 there's a subway in the same strip mall as a Walmart, Family Dollar, and low cost shoe store.

I was awoken from my afternoon nap to be presented with a sack containing naught but 3 Mcdonalds cheeseburgers. Very pleasant.

Yeah, the only one I know of as well. I just wasn't sure if you were in the area or somewhere else. Is the drive thru open while they remodel?

I'm not sure... The parking area was filled with workers cars and a cement mixer.

Oh, I just remembered the Irvine Arby's... (Jamboree and Barranca) But I haven't been there in ages.

You were speaking to an angel sent to earth in order to get your bowling team much better food.

The fact you didn't realize this as you were pulling into CFA(!) worries me.

Il Bosco for pizza, very good pizza and the place was completely empty on Monday night, it looked like they're normally closed on Monday so maybe that's why. Caprese salad was excellent too

Salty Sow for dinner, good American/bar food. I got green chili pork nachos, fried Brussels sprout chips and a couple tacos.

Daily Dose in old town? for breakfast. Fried polenta cakes with poblanos and poached eggs, got a cinnamon roll pancake on the side

Drove to Sedona and back on Monday and spent most of tuesday night at Top Golf so that cut into my eating out oppirtunities. My only fast food outing was Chick Fil A for breakfast which was excellent as always. I really wanted to try Lo Los, chicken and waffles are always good and Little Miss BBQ but I wasn't about to wait in line for that long

Got one for Super Bowl last year, think it was around $40.

[edit] $50 for a 120 tray here.
