McDonalds definitely stepping up their game with the 1 2 3 deal and mobile offers.

Current app promo: free burger with any purchase over $1 using mobile pay. Free double quarter pounder boys!

Only downside is that they are giving out stale mcnuggets at times. Prior to them making 4 pieces $1 I've never been sold a stale/room temp nugget. Still the best nugs in the game, reheat well too!

What's the consensus on that dark bread and butter you get at Outback? I give it a big thumbs up and probably ask for 2 re-fills during the course of a meal with a group of 3 or 4.

How many bread re-fills is acceptable? Annoyed a server pretty bad one time at Red Lobster. I think my sister and I asked for 8 or 9 extra baskets.

It has been a while since I have eaten at an Outback, but I loved the bread.

Re: refills: ask for as many as you want. But tip your server appropriately.

It's alright but the rolls at texas roadhouse blow it out of the water.

Texas Roadhouse is a very underrated chain restaurant.

Love me some Outback. There’s one right around the corner from my house but I don’t go nearly often enough. Something about their honey mustard dressing and the croutons in the side house salad, love love love.

Gotta try Texas Roadhouse. There's one very close to Parx Casino, which is pretty close to me. I guess next time they run the Big Stax series I'll grab lunch or dinner there.

The mobile offers are so good I found myself swinging by to use a deal even when I wasn't very hungry. Had to uninstall the app when I realized I was eating way more than I wanted to

Texas Roadhouse is very hit-or-miss IME, tho it's possible the one near me just sucks. Outback always solid.

I'm going to give an Outback burger a try. It's probably cheaper than 5 guys. Fuddruckers is considerably better than 5 guys, but fizzled out a decade ago. **** 5 guys.

I’m with you dog. I feel like Fuddrucker’s is a bit underrated, never had a bad burger there and I like how you can get all different kinds of meat too.

Got a new Carrabbas/Outback Express down the street to check out soon. Guess its just a take out place. What ever happened to the Outback Jackaroo Chops with the caramel apples? Those were the bomb but didn't see em on the menu last time I went.

I'm low key pretty happy to see some 5 guys hate flowing in this thread, always seemed pretty overrated to me.

You guys have convinced me to go back to outback for the first time in about 15 years!

I have never had a burger at outback, but their other stuff has too much pepper and spices for me. After eating there I wake up during the night with a dry mouth and need some water.

It pisses me off that 5 Guys Burgers and Fries rhymes.

Like I bet they think that they're really clever for that ****.

****ing 5 Guys and their overrated/overpriced burgers.

That ain't pepper and spices, it's just plain old salt doing that to you.

misread this as a "croutons on the side" house salad, and momentarily thought you were the weirdest person in the world for ordering their salad with the croutons on the side.

There’s a Fuddruckers by me but I never go because there are so many damn burger places (and we go to a local place that makes probably the best burger AND fries so that further dilutes the pool). I also noticed there was a place called Great American Steakburger here but apparently it closed before I got to try it.

Arby's lunch today. Only make it to Arby's maybe once a year so went big: 1 Nashville Hot Fish, 1 Beef n Cheddar, 3 piece Buffalo Chicken Tenders. Fish 4.99, BnC & strips 2 for $6.

Nashville Hot Fish: B. I ordered the King's Hawaiian version but they gave me the standard, didn't go back to correct them. Fish was big, freshly fried, pleasantly crisp and the Nashville Hot seasoning had a nice spice to it - probably about the same as a Wendy's spicy chicken sandwich. Tarter sauce and pickles were good.

Beef n Cheddar: A-. I love these damn things. Dump on some horsey and arby's sauce and it's a glorious mess. Also tried a few bites with the 3-pepper sauce - it wasn't spicy and was actually super sweet, but it made for a nice change of pace. If I was going to do my order over again it'd probably be a 1/2 pound BnC and some fries.

Buffalo Tenders: B-. Buffalo sauce was pretty good. (And there was a ton of it - they served them in a rather huge bowl that was < 50% filled by the tenders, and there was a 3/4" deep lake of buffalo sauce at the bottom.) The chicken tenders themselves were a little on the small side, and the breading was a little bit too thick. But certainly not bad. My biggest nit would be they don't have blue cheese dressing, just (a very mediocre) ranch - how hard is it to get your supplier to throw in some blue cheese packets with your normal ranch order while you're running a buffalo chicken promotion?

Lastly it's probably been covered itt, but they have a 5 regular roast beefs for $11.99 offer - really made me miss the 5 for 5.55 they used to offer. I guess the Jr Bacon Cheeseburger, taco bell beef tacos, etc have all more than doubled in price since then, but this felt particularly egregious compared to yesteryear.

I might do 5 for 12 for old times sake.

I still want a container filled with 5 pounds of their roast beef, and all I have is my bare hands!

Started going to Outback again recently for what was probably a solid 15 year gap between visits, i was shocked that it was actually better than i remember. Reason for even going again was i saw they were running this Wednesday special where you get a 8oz sirlion, fries, and a beer for 9.99, pretty sick deal for what you get and always exceptional. You can sub out the fries for any potato side, obviously always go with the loaded baked potato and only go on Wednesday's ldo. Pretty insane value for 10 bucks and everything is always on point.

This says the Wednesday $9.99 deal is for a 6oz sirloin.

The reason Outback burgers are so good is because they use a "seasoning rack" for all of their meats before cooking. Basically it's a cookie sheet where they tear open the cut off meat and generously dump the French fry season salt all over the meats. The later in the day/night it is, the more salt ends up on the tray. Your burger gets a quick dusting, then it's onto the grill.

They do a great job.
