its easier to order the slim and add what I want than the turkey tom and take off stuff

there is also almost no risk of a mayo sandwich ruining disaster occurring this way

Rather enjoyed the deep fried Cajun turkey sandwich, a pretty good hunk of meat with some flavor that wasn't over the top with saltiness.

Had deep fried turkey club and the chicken pepperoni parm sandwiches from Arby’s last night, they were both good. Arby’s is good but pretty pricey for FF.

Augie-I love your passion man, and you can work with me any time-but...

even being a fan of Jimmy Johns..... I'll put my Five Guys against any JJ for freshness all day any day (and while our ticket times are much longer, FG is definitely a QSR)

You are nuts on with the second comment....Any operator that buys a brand and then tries to do things their own way is simple and doesn't understand what they bought

Which is worse? Stealing soda or stringing someone up by their tongue.

Perhaps take a valium?

These guys should just raise the price of sandwiches 25c each and give away (and advertise!) free soda. I assume they'd come out ahead p&l wise. Franchise owners would no longer have to waste mental energy on their Clint Eastwood fantasies about soda thieves, but I don't know if they'd consider this a good or bad thing.

There's a whole other thread for the great "stealing soda in water cups" discussion. Can we not tard this one up?

Had JJs today. I know people that love it, I don't. But they're super consistent which is a rare thing. It was also the slowest they've ever been, 35 minutes from a location six or seven blocks away, though in fairness it was noon.

This discussion of JJ's caused me to get a Vito with hot peppers for lunch. Sandwich was so good I barely remember eating it.

unfortunately tonite is not the night. assuming by 'International' you mean Interstate? Burnside is physically closer to the Moda Center, but i guess it depends on which way you're travelling after you're done.

take some pics and show these folks what FOTM has to offer. better yet, go for the El Jefe challenge and report back.

Can someone explain why JJ is superior to Jersey Mike's?

They deliver and Jersey Mike’s does not. Jersey Mike’s subs are much better in my limited experience.

I'm guessing most people think JM>JJ in taste but JM Takes forrrrever sometimes. It tilts me so hard when they shave everyone's meat. I think we'd all be ok if you went ahead and ballparked it and prepped a few lbs at 11. Also everyone kind of stands around as hot subs/cold subs come out at different times. So you're not sure when you pay/select toppings.

Also for folks looking to eat a tad healthier, the unwich is great.

JM is levels better than JJ. speed and delivery have to be the deciding factor for some folks (not me).

Yes, Interstate. I go that way because its an uncongested way to get back to I5.

As I suspected, thanks y'all cuz Jersey Mike's is ****ing great and for that reason I've never eaten JJ even though they're around. Because of my work schedule which is ticket-based, I don't have to be out-and-back in a specific time frame so I have the luxury of not caring about speed.

Oh my, yes, I tried one today.
Bacon/egg/cheese biscuit may have been the best breakfast sandwich I've had.
Love those mini hash browns.

I hate that everytime I get a sandwich from JJs the meat and toppings always slides out the back of the bread. **** won't stay in place.

I don’t think I’ve ever had Jersey Mike’s, maybe once but I don’t remember it. JJ isn’t anything special imo but their tuna sandwich, something I generally do not order elsewhere, is excellent. The tuna salad is delicious, the bread goes perfectly with it, and the toppings of cucumbers, onions, and hot peppers is top notch. Kinda want to get one tomorrow or even on my way home now.
