I seem to gravitate more to DD than Starbucks. Maybe that is because they outnumber them 3 to 1 in NJ. In NJ, there are DDs within 2 miles of each other.

I always assumed people liked DD coffee because its standard was something like 3 parts coffee/2 parts cream/1 part simple syrup. Never tasted burnt to me, but was too sweet, even for my tastes.

Last night, magnificence happened by accident. I haven't had McDonalds in months and wanted a Sausage & Egg McMuffin late night. First bite in I'm like "WTF?", but in a good way. These guys gave me a burger patty instead of a sausage patty on the English muffin w/ egg & cheese. It was pretty damn good. I wonder if I can make this a regular play on request.

not a fan of sausage party

Had BOGO for signature sandwich at McD and had the maple dijon grilled chicken on artisan bun. Was impressed and receipt was BOGO if you did survey, so I did. Went to different location, waited 10 min. in drive thru, got to window & bacon not ready, so had to pull forward and wait another 5 min. When ready, no extras for waiting... no napkins... chicken was sorta tough/chewy, like it had been nuked extra/twice... not so impressed.

Surprised to hear there is a major area Starbucks hasn't taken over.
A few places in San Diego there are Starbucks across the street from one another.

Krispy Kreme just opened up down the street from me.

Could be a bad thing.

Back starting yest. for a limited time. I don't like fake cheese, so haven't tried it. Reviews seemed to be very polarized.

Yesterday I used the BK app for BOGO Whopper (Went to a historically "good" BK spot).
BK also let me use a second coupon for the same order.

As I learned in this thread I unleashed the "Off the Broiler" technique for the first time.

Burgers were def. fresher than I expected.

Thanks guys.

That McDonald's prop bet is happening on this twitter account for anyone interested in closing the loop: https://twitter.com/mchamburgler1k

He's angleshooting out of the gate and it still seems impossible.

First order $110
50 apple cups which he smushed into applesauce - 25
40 strips bacon - 30
50 orders guacamole - 45

apples are green, which could give him the runs.

Good when fresh, otherwise meh.

Naked chicken chips from Bell pretty delicious, came piping hot and even had a mildly spicy kick. Chalupa was better but this was surprisingly close. Also they gave me extra food so that's a score.

Don't worry, for several weeks there will be ridiculous lines of people will to wait 15 minutes to get a hot donut.

How does that work? You just ask for "off the broiler"? I'd be leery it would be "just out of the microwave".

All you do is pop that Krispy Kreme in the microwave for 9 seconds and it's fresh to death.

2nd order is 10 grilled chicken breasts (side order, not sandwiches) and 10 fruit and yogurt parfaits.

Off the Broiler means they don't nuke an already ready and sitting there burger. They take a frozen one to heat up normally instead.

I was a bit unsure of how the process would go as it was my first time obv. Would I get questioned further? Would I have to wait a very long time? Etc.

I said I would like the whoppers off the broiler, the cashier hit a button, and when I got them the wrappers said "Off Bro".

I only had to wait a little while longer than normal too. I guess about 2-3 minutes extra.

It's a pretty simple process ime. I say next time you go to BK you hike up your skirt, grab your balls, and request your whopper "Off the Broiler".

lunch today was at the same TB that made me some huge double-portion chicken soft tacos a couple of weeks ago. not caring about value i ordered 3 chicken STs and a spicy tostada for lol ~$7. they called my number and right when i was taking the tray off the counter one of the employees put a fourth chicken ST on the tray and said "sorry for the wait, here's some free food". the wait was a minute or two longer than expected at 11am, but nothing i really noticed. i'm guessing they accidentally made four tacos instead of three and knew they wouldn't keep.

what i did notice as i was standing there waiting was one employee came back to the line and took almost two minutes to put on his gloves before making food....WTF dude? it's a pretty simple concept, no?

Might be the least surprising thing ever.

Saw the initial order and immediately thought too bad he's not doing BK where the risk of e.coli would be higher.

I changed my mind mid order and I guess they just said **** it and gave me both. Perfect for lunch and dinner when I'm on the late shift (most of you guys probably could have housed it in one sitting though, wasn't that much food ).
