Kemper one of GOAT characters, I want to be his friend
Yeah, Mindhunter is great. It's like crack. Need more.

I will forever be fascinated by the BTK case.

How long does it take mindhunter to get good? I legit fell asleep during the first episode because it was so boring. Should I keep trying, or if I thought ep 1 was bad there is no point as I won't like the show?

Ep 1 is more of a setup episode, but Ep 2 gets into the serial killer part pretty quick when he meets serial killer Kemper. So if Ep 2 doesn't do it for you, you could probably quit the show. And I think it's a great show.

I am not one to binge but am already almost done with episode 5 of season 2. If I keep up this pace and finish it by tomorrow evening it will probably be my quickest binged season of something with decent length.

I’d say if Fincher’s slow burn pace (like in Zodiac) isn’t for you, then it’s probably going to be a wash but I would at least try a few episodes to see if you can get invested in the characters, which are in my opinion as good as you’ll find anywhere.

I think that the pace becomes a nonissue because of the quality of the series as a whole, but that’s just me

I cranked the season out in 2 days, definitely a record for me

i basically skimmed season 1 as it was boring and the stories didn't seem very tied together. however, watching season 2 now and it's very good.

I've tried to watch the first ep of Mindhunter twice and switched off after 15 mins or so both times. I'll try again as it's getting such positive reviews here.

I found myself deep in a Dennis Rader wormhole right after finishing the series and realized I need a break from serial killer stuff for awhile lol

on episode 5 of Season 2. This season seems less focused and more rambling than season 1 Mostly because of the way they are handling the Atlanta investigation.

The show has not realized that even though the agents are technically the "lead actors" of the series, the true stars of the show are the serial killers. No one gives a **** about agent ford's wife or Tench's son. In fact the whole Tench's son plotline is ridiculously contrived. There is enough real-life drama in the subject matter that it can do w/o most of the made up ****.

true, but i am also guessing that they are making the serial killers seem way smarter than in real life.

I actually think the Tench son story is pretty interesting with the obvious connections to the cases being studied by the agents. But Wendy's personal life on the other hand is very boring.

My GF and I watched the first episode and then blew off the rest of season 1 because it was meh, However, I kept hearing great things about it so we watched it again, and the rest of season 1, and it was AWESOME.

We are REALLY looking forward to starting season 2 tonight.

PSA to rewatch the Office while it’s still on NFlix. Forgot how elite the first 5 seasons are. So much talent.

Still haven’t managed to get passed S9 tho. It gets kinda ugly.

Edit: Apparently we’ve got until the end of 2020.

Anyone watch Trailer Park Boys Out of the Park USA yet?
The original series was amazing.
The trailer for the new one looked OK.

Just finished Hell on Wheels. Started off really good. Last few seasons were OK but wasn’t as into it. Worth watching if you haven’t I think.

That tpb has been out for a while in the us. If you enjoyed the series you’ll feel right at home.

I don't really get the complaints about side plots in Mindhunter. The show is clearly exploring the sociopathic tendencies of the main characters as they research sociopathic serial killers.

Some of these storylines are less interesting than others but they're all providing valuable character development and insight.

Brian will become a serial killer when he gets a bit older(I haven't seen the last few episodes), just like Jax's son in SOA.
