triple frontier wasnt as bad as some of you guys said early, i didnt notice the deep dropoff that was mentioned, decent title. i know in these low budget movies it usually is a tale of 2 movies with teh latter being dog**** but this wasnt one of them

+1 for metallica too

Very much enjoying After Life after three episodes, much better than I thought it would be. Great cast, sharp editing, looks beautiful. The first episode is depressing, and a bit heavy on the 'bad santa' style ******* humor, but it mellows out after that. Favorite bit characters are Brian the Local Nutter and the therapist.

For reference I found The Office brilliant but hated all the cringe. After Life is not cringy at all.

Doesn't seem to generate much interest around here, or in OOTV. Watched it and it's great! Some of the stuff is going into the direction of TP S3 imo.

Umbrella Academy seems like a ripoff of Heroes imo. Like 4 episodes in and debating whether or not to finish.

Just finished season 1 of Secret City and enjoyed it. Very similar to shows like The BodyGuard and early HoC. If you like shows with government conspiracies and cover ups you will like Secret City.

FWIW, I wouldn't say the acting or production quality was anything to rave about but I thoroughly enjoyed the story but I'm biased since I love biographies

somehow I missed 4 hours of new Chappelle from 2017. the age of spin is very good, the heart of texas show is very good good, the other 2 are ok. the last 20 minutes of the bird revelation are uncomfortable. my favorites: louis, jim jefferies, carlin.

any standup recommendations? Ive tried to go through a few listicles with little luck.

bill burr is the funniest man alive.
he has a bunch of specials on netflix watch them from oldest to newest and he has an awesome hour special you can watch on YouTube.

Tom Segura is also great and has a few specials on netflix.

Greg giraldo was one of the best, make sure you watch his actual stand up and not just his roast stuff tho he was the best roaster of all time.

I like jake johansen not sure why he never got more popular.

John mulaney is pretty great n has a special on netflix.

Hannibal burress and Anthony jeselnik both have netflix specials and are hilarious.

I thought The Dirt was okay. Acting was horrible, dialog was pretty bad but it was an okay watch. Rotten Tomatoes gives it a 42% which I think is fair value.
