2001 is from 1968
Clockwork Orange from 1971

the era of those films really shouldn't be ignored when critiquing them.

Outlaw King was watchable. Seems truncated. Shoulda been a series.

Every episode of Medal of Honor is incredible. If the show doesn't bring you to tears at least once, you have no soul.

8 episodes through Homecoming (Prime). I dunno, it's been fine, but at this point I'm desperate to finish it and move on to something else. The plot and the characters just aren't very interesting to me.

Esmail is awesome, and I love Mr. Robot, but gotta say this has been a bit disappointing.

I'm only an episode in but I dig it. If you like post apocs, this might be a quick watch. It's dubbed in English.

My take: watched all of season 1, only finished it b/c plot committed, this show is kinda bad. The characters are dumb, the explanations of what's going on are dumb and implausible, you don't ever get much in the way of answers, side plots are abandoned with no explanation.

Also, because early on in the show they cross from Denmark into southern Sweden and most of the rest of the show takes place there, I always wanted to know: are they still speaking Danish? Google tells me the languages are similar but have some different sounds/vocabulary that would make communication slightly confusing, why is that not reflected in the show?! (or is it, with no reflection of that to subtitle viewers?)

I could go on several rants about how some individual plotlines are so, so bad but I assume most people haven't seen this show and, hopefully after this post, won't see it, so meh.

I quite enjoyed The Rain. It is a bit teenage cringey at times though. I really enjoy that genre of show so possibly that helped.

Three or four set pieces strung together with bailing wire and twine.

It’s still watchable owing to C. Pine and assorted landscape-porn shots. (And the set pieces; I do love it when folks get medieval) but yeah it kind of screams missed opportunity to me.

“Watchable” is exactly the right adjective for this film IMO. No more, no less.

I agree, as I watched more I grew to dislike the show. The decision making was poor and I gave up on it midway through.

Rewatched The Raid: Redemption last night. Anyone who's a fan of killer action/violence/mayhem will enjoy this. I still haven't seen The Night Comes For Us but I'll hopefully watch it soon.

Just finished the second season, at 8 episodes it feels it could have been reduced to just 3 or 4 (like the first season), the pacing is too slow at the begginig and the last chapter is sort of an epilogue that is too long.

They tried to create some "court intrigues and drama" that just don't fit well, and the lack of action doesn't help

Thanks for the feedback. I'll probably watch it at some point because I love Armitage's voice.

I liked House of Cards initially when it was about a scheming member of the House of Representatives. There's lots of room for storytelling for years.

Spoiler:
I thought it went to far with the murders of the fellow congressman and reporter. And I didn't like that Underwood became VP and then President.

house of cards jumped the shark when the vice president pushed a reporter in front of a train at a busy metro station then just walked out

somehow watched the rest of that season but it was done after that

Like Trump wouldn't do something like that. Especially if they worked for CNN.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't the "powerful man pushes somebody in front of a train" storyline eventually used on some awful wrestling program?

I tried watching the US version of HOC but it just didn't come close to being as good as the original British one so I gave up.
