It's watchable, but it's not nearly as good as To All The Boys, and most people and ratings seem to agree.

Here are some reasons why, imo:

Spoiler:
Warning, these are actual movie spoilers, for both Sierra Burgess and To All The Boys
Spoiler:

1) She doesn't have a real relationship with the guy. It's entirely based on deception, and they barely interact together in person. In Boys, there is the lie of the fake relationship, but they are still actually together, forming a real relationship. In Sierra, they are barely on screen together. Also, Boys has a consensual relationship, while in Sierra, the relationship is not even consensual on one side.

2) They don't have a deep relationship, and there doesn't appear to be real chemistry or even a basis for it. In Boys, the leads bond over actual meaningful stuff, the death of her mother and the abandonment by his father, and they open up to and share with each other. In Sierra, they talk about stuff like favorite things and what animals they would be, and that's supposed to be enough. Sierra and Veronica actually have a deeper, more real relationship than Sierra and Jamey.

3) Sierra does something malicious and cruel towards the end, for very little reason, and she's entirely in the wrong. Then Veronica forgives her, but there's no basis for it. Sierra doesn't even really apologize, she sends her a song about being a sunflower who wants the boy to pick her, not something showing contrition to Veronica.

4) Let's face it, looks matter, in a movie like this. A more serious movie may be just about the storyline, but in a light rom com, it generally helps for the leads to be attractive. Sierra has a somewhat cute face, but she's fat and not particularly attractive. And she's not even attractive on the inside. She's smart, but she never really displays good character or a beautiful inside, in fact she does the opposite.

So yeah, it's not really what I expected, and I normally enjoy these kinds of movies, but didn't really care for this one.
To All the Boys is an example of a good movie tho that people outside the fan of "bad teenage romance" genre could find enjoyable, Sierra Burgess is definitely not that. I agree with everything you said, and honestly i wished it would have ended where

Spoiler:
she makes it up to veronica in a more sincere way as their friendship is what I definitely found most compelling about the movie, and she actually doesn't end up with the guy, because it's honestly borderline unbelievable even for this kind of movie. Really felt the ending, even tho you knew all along thats exactly how it was going to end, was disappointing. Most especially because of how their friendship was patched up, which was really pretty lame as she never even actually apologized

It was all the more disappointing too because this is the rare movie in this genre where the villian doesnt go back to being a POS even tho theyve showed you their good side. (I was completely expecting veronica to screw over Sierra and just start dating Jamey) Its actually the hero who wrongs.
Alobar, totally agree, that's the way it should have ended. 3/4 of the way through the movie, I was hoping for that ending as well, even though I doubted they would do that.

ozark season 2 was watchable, if breaking bad is a 3 stars michelin restaurant ozark is a decent all you can eat buffet.
They still manage to use what a normal tv show do in one full season in 2 or 3 episodes.

Yeah, Ozark was much better than I expected. Season 3 will be hard to do well, imo. The recipe is of course Breaking Bad, and they do not want to carbon copy such a legendary show. However, the plot is similar and there may only be the one way to do it correctly, which is spiral out of control and ruin the lives of everyone.

Its Bateman’s show. I could accept a less dark less realistic version, but many would hate that and call that a cop out.

Someone sell me some lolron fist season 2. I noticed in the trailer they have him hide his faces in some fight scenes which was one of the issue of season 1

I would imagine if you somehow managed to make it through season 1, you enjoy punishment and would be eager for more!

meh its just refreshing, I know it gets tagged along with BB but there arent too many shows of that nature.

I think its good enough to def warrant a watch. Season 2 was better than season 1 since it was a bit more swifter yet set things up well, of course there were some ****ty episodes but I will watch season 3 ecxpectign it to be maybe the worst out of the 3. hope this show ends around s4 and dont extend it longer than it should

Started watching the 100 a few days ago and other than football I haven't watched anything else. Went in expecting a teen soap opera with a space backdrop but holy crap was I wrong. This show gets VERY DARK. Some of the writing is a bit ridiculous, but the decisions it forces the characters to choose makes it very compelling to watch.

I wouldn't say it's top-tier in quality but it is a very good watch (at least through the 1st 2 seasons that I've watched.)

Meh. I’m gonna watch it. I still think iron fist is better than Luke cage. I finished iron fist season 1. I didn’t make it to the end of Luke cage. Invincible man can’t beat random low to mid level street gangster because drama reasons... Obviously none of them are daredevil but whatever.

I am actually struggling to make it through Ozark 2.

It just seems really contrived and set up. I dont like how the oh its going to be a massive ball ache to get this law passed etc when in O1 there was no mention of this problem.

Just feels all a bit tired and derivative now, will plough on though.

Problem is that JCS is being released one ep at a time in UK at the moment and that just seems infinitely superior.

Ozark has the pacing of a soap opera with a cliffhanger per episode.

Watched a few eps of The 100 and I just don't care enough to continue.

Started rewatching Mad Men. Show is so elite, right from the jump.
