There's a robot, but it has no similarities to the classic robot, other then saying the classic line Danger Will Robinson. It looks more alienish at first.

Bill Muny (Will Robinson) makes a cameo as Dr. Smith. Parker Posey steals his identity in the new series, and I assume plays Dr. Smith for the rest of the series.

I gave up after the first episode tho. 😎

chris rock hasn't been that funny in a decade.
He's still miles better than Kevin Hart though.

This is something I probably never would have watched because the name seemed terrible but thanks to this thread I'm hooked as well.

The Detectorists was pretty good. One of the main characters was the U.K. version of Dwight Schrute in the Office and was good in both.

Finished new TPB last night. Won’t dissapoint if you’re already a fan of the series. LOL’d a few times.

Into Parks and Rec now. No idea how I’ve taken so long to pick this show up but absolutely amazing so far. Obv heavily influenced by The Office but has Veep vibe as well. Not just Bc of the government angle but moreso the fact that ALL of the cast is great.

Spoiler:
What you got?

The first season is very Officeish, but quickly moves into it's own territory after that.

Yeah, Parks and Rec is a top notch modern sitcom. I actually didn't like season 1 much iirc but I thought it got great fast after that.

Bobby Kennedy For President was great. Obviously sad, but highly recommended. He was one brave SOB.

Unfortunately it turns to water trash the last few seasons

When this guy shows up is likely a good sign the show is going downhill:

This is a scorching hot (and wrong) take.

This guy is easily the worst part of P&R, but the last few seasons are great.

Billy is a comedic genius but he doesn't really fit in Parks and Rec

Watched Restrepo tonight.

I have far too many irons in the fire (political opinions, views on our country’s attitude towards our military culture) for me to give an unbiased opinion on it, but it was a good look at what it’s like to be a US soldier in combat.

Anyone taking a chance on Anon (new movie with Clive Owen and Amanda Seyfried)? Reviews aren't stellar and after the Cloverfield cluster**** I'm not eager to dive in

The trailer looked pretty dumb (but man is Seyfried smoking ****ing hot). I no longer trust them to do anything besides cartoons, pass

Wild Wild Country - 96/100

What a story. I definitely don’t think it can be lumped in with Jamestown etc because I don’t believe Osho’s core principles were bad (and after having read what a lot of ppl say about the documentary, I think most of what he taught was quite good)...in the end I think the whole idea got led astray, the good stuff got forgotten, and bad things took its place.

As a sociological experiment I think it’s absolutely fascinating and completely unique.

I went through the whole doc despising Sheela, thinking she was just the biggest sociopath, but then felt a ton of sympathy towards her at the end. Idk what my feelings are towards her really. I think the doc, as good as it was, couldn’t possibly have explained the reasons for why things went down as they did. The main thing that happened is that a lot of mistakes with unintended consequences were made.

What a great watch though. And fantastic music.

Oh and both my gf and I found the lawyer to be SUCH a nasally self-important blowhard

It was a bit video game like with the first person perspectives. I watched on the basis of the concept which was cool but the execution wasn't very good. Amanda Seyfried looked good, but that was about it.

I think a lot was missing. I don't understand the weird devotion people had to Osho but I found all the Bible thumpers a lot creepier.

Passed by a Japanese show called "Kakegurui" and noticed on the description that it was about a private school that has it's social status revolve solely around gambling. Binged through the whole season in a weekend and enjoyed it, despite not being usually much of an anime fan. I watched the live action version, might watch the animated version next.
