Great old show. I liked when that robot would get excited and say Danger Will Robinson! Also I think the villain was probably gay.

Remember the Time Tunnel show? That was cool too. And Land of the Giants! I was a big fan ofc.

Loved all of those Irwin Allen shows. He was on a roll there. Not Allen's, but I was a fan of "The Invaders" as well.

I watched Wind River last night - thought it was a step down from Sicario/HoHW (both of which I loved), but still quite good. Thanks for the recommendation, Fly!

I watched a little bit of the new Lost in Space due to my bf watching it. Seemed pretty lame. I think my bf is going to continue watching but basically if it has robots and spaceships in it he'd pretty much watch anything.

Am watching Lost in Space, on episode 4 now.

Production value is very very high. Idk how they afford all the sets and effects, really.

The story is almost an entirely new twist on space family Robinson, so be warned. Its not *too* dark, however, like so many reboots seem to be nowadays.

If you absolutely hate tiny implausible sci-fi plot holes, it will disappoint.

The characters are reasonably well developed, given the usual sci-fi first episode where big action is immediate and uninformative.

Now, the show could totally tank, idk what the writers are planning.

I would better describe the show as ‘Treasure Island in Space’.

If you like this kind of stuff, then give it a 4-episode shot, the first episode really is intended to be paired with the second, in a 2-hour premier.

My bf ended up binging Lost in Space in a few days. He said it wasn't top tier but he still enjoyed it. He loves anything sci fi though.

Wild Wild Country

Spoiler:
Really amazing story. The cult members must have been so tilted when all the "street people" came to live there. What were the members getting out of the situation? They all seemed to love the hippie free love vibe. Were they all brain washed on the religious aspects or just in it for the love/community aspects. I couldn't really tell. The cult leader seemed to be a genius level social manipulator.

the one dude acted like with no interference they would have taken over half the state but thats just ludicrous. it was never sustainable, if they went and kept growing another 4 years **** would have hit the fan from the inside and imploded

I'm pretty sure they brought them in to try and rig an election. They stated anyone who is an Oregon "resident" for over 20 days can vote in state elections.

Also after watching this it seems the simpsons cult episode was modeled after these guys.

This is spot on, I’ve seen so many opinions trashing this show and that seems extreme. Like AC, nothing spectacular here and some minor annoyances but overall enjoyable.

finally caught up on Better Call Saul

fantastic. i want to say it's better than breaking bad but it's just because saul and mike were the best characters from bb and the pacing of this show is amazing. if you would have asked me before i accidentally found out by looking at the episode list well into season 3, i would have said they were half-hour episodes. they're full-hour episodes but i felt each one flew by. loved seeing bob odenkirk and his brother and mike and the cartel shenanigans, ****in don hector is sf good, just top shelf tv all around. 5/5 bags of popcorn

I've been jonesing for a quality documentary and this is definitely giving me my fix. Amazing story that's not well known (at least I didn't know it hvaing not grown up in the US during the 80s), a ton of footage, and they seem to have gotten interviews with all the important people.

For all those who liked Wild Wild Country, you should check out Welcome to Leith.

It's about a small town of just 24 people in North Dakota that was taken over in a similar way by white supremacists.

it's an homage to On Cinema At The Cinema, and i'm not sure if you're reacting to it based on recognizing the reference but i'll take this opportunity to recommend one of my favorite shows, On Cinema At The Cinema, streaming on http://www.adultswim.com/videos/on-cinema/

the show is tim heidecker and gregg turkington in a parody of At The Movies where they review new movies but it mostly devolves into its own parallel universe in 10-minute episodes in which basically we're watching these characters put on their show, On Cinema, as they go through different things in their personal lives that seep into the show that we're watching. they're currently in their 10th season and there have been multiple spin-offs including an annual live oscar simulcast, a spy thriller Decker, and a courttv-style televised murder trial, all featuring the characters from this show's universe. it's so innovative that they started broadcasting their shows exclusively in VR, right in the middle of a season, so needless to say it's A+, 5 bags of popcorn and 10 sodas
