I'm kinda active on a forum with a mostly Mexican user base and the big rumor was that the Cartel somehow erroneously thought this guy was a Fed/Detective because he was basically running around taking a bunch of pictures of shady areas.

Possibly bull****, but really sad news either way. I'm kinda surprised that these shows don't try to somehow reach out to Mafia/Criminal groups before posting up in areas like this to ask permission. Maybe that type of thing is just an urban legend but I remember reading that the Training Day producers had to do that with some of the gangs in LA when they filmed.

Keep in mind, though, that the SC doesn't rule on matters of guilt or innocence. It doesn't go back and review the evidence and say "yup, this guy did it" or even "yup, the state proved its case" (or even "nope, the state didn't prove its case").

Upholding a lower court's decision isn't to say that the decision is correct.

The pilot definitely has more of a comedy tone, I love how Dylan and his friends call themselves "The Wayback Boys" because they go way back. Also, "Kraz", the hip teacher, made me giggle every time they interviewed him. By the end, it really had a darker whodunnit tone. At times, you kinda forget it all was over a stupid thing like drawing dicks on cars. Speaking of that, 100k seems like overkill in damages to fix up 27 spraypainted cars, I would think like 15-20k tops.

The high school setting really reminded me a lot of the video game "Life is Strange", but with a less serious mystery.

I enjoyed American Vandal. It was reasonably funny, good character development and an interesting look at society.

The Five I have watched about half the season and it was enjoyable but I agree it's hard to know what on earth is happening.

Rocco was.....interesting. Follows the famous Italian pornstar Rocco Siffredi around during his swan song. Def a little hardcore and not for the faint of heart, but worth a watch if this kind of thing intrigues you. Paging Dom!

I'd like to watch Rocco but I don't think it's on the Aussie Netflix, just like The Five. It's really annoying seeing something recommended in here and then realising I can't watch it

All of that aside, a truly great show. It deserves all the respect it has been getting.

I know everyone has already said it, but American vandal was A+

I didn't know what it was at first, I kind of just clicked on hit as I was winding down a poker session. I wasn't paying attention and didn't realize it was a satire until about half through the first episode when I recognized one of the actors

. I found it extremely funny and even thought provoking at times, but I'm sure there's a ton of people who won't like it.

I like the Lady Gaga documentary. I've always thought she was talented, and she seems like an ok person for a huge pop star. She's not as freakish looking as I thought she'd be either, although clearly she's no beauty.

I started watching 13 Reasons Why. Man, it's such a teenage girl show, but I'm kinda hooked. Hannah is a drama queen, a lot of those teens really didn't deserve to be singled out. I'm like wait...what? That's all they did? The guy in the first episode literally did nothing. Someone stole his phone and sent something on it. And the next 2 didn't do much either, except hang out with her less for no vicious reason. I'm only halfway through, maybe there's some big reveal that justifies some of their inclusions more.
