paranoid. i've reported a ton of stuff as broken and they've never said anything.

I couldn't be happier with Netflix.

To make their service even better they've recently upgraded their Watch Instantly section.

So far I'm two seasons in on Psych.

its brutal watching chimps chained up in a small cage, seeing them get into a situation where they get to be chimps again is awesome, its sad that they can be so violent to other chimps, its scary how similar to humans they are

Ah, well that's unfortunate as the mini series is really good. The last really good scifi movie I've seen was probably the new star trek movie, and I'd say the battlestar mini series taken as movie is at least as good. I usually am not too big on tv scifi series since it seems often even if the story is pretty good, they typically lack the budget and sometimes the solid actors to make it really good(compared to good scifi movies), while galatica seems to avoid those pitfalls.

Figured it out...instead of clicking play next to show, click on show to get the page for that season, which then lists individual episodes, each with their own play button.

Still sucks in Canada. If it wasn't only $7.99 a month I would have unsubscribed already. If it doesn't improve by the new year I think I will anyway. This thread makes me jealous of the selection in the US.

I've only seen an episode here and there, but this is the response I would expect in regards to Veronica Mars; however, I'm always surprised at how many people rave about it.

i watched the whole show and i thought it was decent although the last season was kind of lame. i think most of the people who rave about it here do so more because they really want to bone kristen bell though.

if you like that voice actor (h. jon benjamin) you have to watch the tv show archer which is also on watch instantly. it is hilarious.

I think Netflix is removing movies from instant queue. I had blow in my line-up, saw it as an option on my tv menu, and now it's only available on dvd and saved for instant viewing.

Same with seven other movies in my queue as well.

hell yeah I forgot about this, pumped imo.

Also just found out, he was in Parks. Spoiler but not at all, the episode where Andy got hurt he was the lawyer.

"You can't say any of that, you can't say sorry, you can't say situation."

"I can't say situation?"

"It implies that there was a situation."

And he was in the the Demetri Martin show which was also pretty good iyam

It all depends on when the license for each movie runs out. If you look at your queue on the website they will give you around a 5 day heads-up when something is expiring.

They finally started adding more SNL seasons, 6-11 or so. It looks like they are heavily edited, which sucks. The hype was "EVERY SNL sketch to soon be available on Netflix". I hope none of the ones I'm nostalgic about are the ones that don't make the cut.

If Netflix is editing, that sucks. Reminds me a Blockbuster caving in to conservatives in Utah years ago. They started editing their rentals to make them family friendly.

FFS. If you don't want the kids to watch it, then don't rent it.

It's not a good show the same way The Sopranos and The Wire and Mad Men are good shows, but as far as disposable entertainment goes it's better than most. Kind of the same vibe as Buffy the Vampire Slayer I guess.

fwiw this is not a show I ever rave about but I did like it a lot and I'm glad I watched it.

I highly highly highly recommend watching this movie if you like martial arts flicks. Even with it being dubbed it's not too bad.

I know no Japanese but you can pretty much figure out what's going on. It's like 93% dubbed to English, 4% Japanese text, and 3% Mandarin text.

I don't think that's the type of editing they're doing - it's editing for time, quality, and/or licensing issues I think. The musical performances are going to be mostly/all gone, and they probably cut out some of the more terrible sketches. Similar to syndication editing them down for time. Still not sure why they had to do it though, other than the music.

Giving Buffy seasons 2 and 3 too little credit. "Disposable entertainment" is more Desperate Housewives imo...

The UK series Survivors, newly available on Instant, is decent, especially if you're a sucker for post-apocalyptic stuff like me. Though as an American I find it hilarious that like two people in the entire series have guns.

As someone else mentioned it has to do with money. SNL has got to be the biggest cash cow ever. Commercials all over the ****ing place, hulu can't play the musical performances, Netflix can't play the musical performances etc.

I'm sure this is just so Lorne Michaels can make as much money as conceivably possible which would involve paying the musical guests as little as possible.

Just my guess.

Yeah I can see that. I will probably sporadically watch episodes from time to time and who knows it might get better.
