I finished season 1 and felt meh about it. I also would like to know when it starts to get good like everyone says it is.

Started watching "How I Met Your Mother." Three episodes in and I and the SO don't really find it funny. Does it get better or do we just not like it?

matrat, I don't really remember the beginning of HIMYM, but sounds like it's probably just not your thing. you could give it a couple more eps (since they're so short) or just move on if you're backlogged on other stuff to watch.

They just got in The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret, David Cross' most recent TV show with 6 eps in the first season. It's also guest starring Will Arnett who's in almost every ep iirc. Hilarious show, snapwatch if you're a David Cross fan - it's got his usual style of funny but it's set in London so its also part awkward Brit humor too

Just in time for season 2 premiering in a week or so, definitely recommend this

Hud is really good, and I think he won an Oscar for it. Check out sometimes a great notion, its a downer though.

Saw "Tucker and Dale vs. Evil" last night. It's comedy-horror and I thought it was pretty good. It was very good for a parody movie I would say. It had that hot chick from 30 Rock in it.

I got the recommendation from instantwatcher.com, are there any similar sites that are even better?

it's probably not funny. Pretty much all network laughtrack comedies suck ****ing balls.

if you want evidence of this, go to youtube and watch some clips with the laughtrack removed and look REALLY hard for the jokes.

and +1 to the David Cross show rec. I caught a few episodes sporadically on IFC when they originally aired. I want to see the whole season cause it was quite good.

Rocky.....Classic

True Grit. I saw it in theaters and vaguely remember it. It was worth a watch.

No Strings Attached. Natalie Portman is in it, she's hot. That's enough to watch it. I thought it was a bit better than I expected it to be.
