I forgot about this, it was one of the first I watched when I got the service.

God I love documentaries.

Interestingly, both are available on Watch Instantly. Ross McElwee's "improbable search for love" from 1986 has more to do with southern women than with General Sherman though.

The warning is useless, there's no way to prep yourself for the roller coaster that that movie is. Great documentary.

I highly suggest "Primer". It is a short, low budget scifi type movie very very good.

Just started on this, pretty cool so far. Despite being 30 years old it doesn't show its age at all (except for how ridic corny some camera shots are of Sagan chilling in a 1980s virtual spaceship) - as someone with a strong interest in astronomy/science in general, this is pretty interesting.

I've been meaning to watch Dear Zachary forever, but I never do because I'm afraid it'll make me all mopey the rest of the day.

When I first saw Syriana I dismissed it, found it overly confusing. Have now watched it five times in the last 3 days. Quickly making its way onto my all time favorite list.

This, going from crying to really pissed off to crying is ridiculous.

Highly recommended, especially if your a fan of the Wire. The parallels between the Carcetti and Royce election are astounding. This needs to get more love.

The ratings for TV shows seem massively over-inflated. As in, every TV show is 4+ stars. I find it highly unlikely I would enjoy watching Magmum PI or Leave It To Beaver or Maverick. I'm sure they were good shows at the time, but I don't think they'd hold up over the decades.

I liked Primer, it's really cerebral so I could see how some people would be turned off by it, but as a confirmed geek I thought it was very cool.
