Seeking some help on a technical issue that may or may not be directly related to Netflix. Every time I watch a flick on my comp the screen goes black and it shuts down after 15-20 minutes or so. I'm positive it's not going to sleep, and this issue has never come up before.

As you might guess, I'm ******ed when it comes to these things. Any help would be much appreciated.

Go the computer technical forum and ask how to keep your computer from overheating. One real quick thing you can do is clean out the inside of your computer and make sure fans and vents are clear, this is easiest on a desktop.

I can't really help here but this is definitely the issue, I would download CoreTemp and asking in computer technical help forum.

Thanks for the tips.

I will say that I thought about the overheating issue but it's never hot when it happens, the fan is not going crazy and it doesn't sound overworked at all.

I could be wrong, I don't know anything about computers. Download CoreTemp: http://www.alcpu.com/CoreTemp/

Watch a movie and monitor the temperature, report back.

Grunching: WWII in HD is a must watch. If that has already been posted, then I am merely giving a + 1.

Lots of great war documentaries available.

Might help to to uninstall/reinstall silverlight. Go to your control panel, add/remove programs (or uninstall a program) and remove microsoft silverlight. Playing a movie will trigger it to reinstall.

Just finished watching the series Kidnapped, very well done and holds your interest throughout. Some of the plot twists seemed a little contrived, but all in all an enjoyable viewing experience.
