I haven't seen Kingdom mentioned ITT and it needs to be.

3 seasons drama, follows the lives of a family of MMA fighters and the people around them. I sped through it in 4 or 5 days and started rewatching it nearly immediately. Top-notch writing, acting, pretty much everything imo.

Only 4 eps in, but yeh I’m shocked by the quality and darkness of Kingdom. I’m a big UFC fan and they get a lot right. Even just in terms of what they focus on. Tons of UFC fighters, refs, etc involved, which bodes well.

The Devil All the Time is worth atleast a one time watch. It's one of those movies that I imagine only gets watched once by most but the acting is top notch, story accomplishes it's point. Only knock would be I read this was adapted from a book and it covers multiple decades and at times the scenes seemed rushed to get to the next one. It's probably trapped in that area where the book material was too long for a movie but would have also been too drawn out for a series.

It's actually a PhD, and as far as I know you can't get a doctorate in PE, so you're wrong on two counts.

Of course, you'll never have a PhD as you'd get thrown out of the viva in the first 5 mins for insulting the external.

#Alive was fairly decent ; I liked the minimalistic settings of being trapped in an apartment in a post-apocalyptic realm and still maintaining the interest

Haven't watched it, but that is pretty normal practice in sports like that. Albeit a pretty dangerous practice.

I just finished it today. If you like Ryan Murphy stuff(AHS, The Politician) then you will like it. It is the pre story of Nurse Ratched from "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" 1975 with Jack Nicholson.

It's good enough to watch. 7.5

A lot of the AHS actors and the ahole dad form ACS Versace, also Sharon Stone and Vincent D'Onofrio.

Weight cutting is v real and extremely dangerous. Lots of fighters pass out or have organs shut down and then fights get cancelled. Once on their reality show they were filming a guy cutting weight in garbage bags in a sauna. He was breaking and they were trying to motivate him, then he chugs a bottle of water and everyone knew it was over.
