Sophia Coppola's film debut is nothing short of mesmerizing. although she only had one repeating line, she was extremely convincing as an infant with a wet forehead.
credited as 'Child On Ship' in her second role, there was absolutely no doubt she was a child, but it's a little ambiguous if she was on an actual ship.
as for her third role cast as 'Little Girl' in
The Outsiders, she played the role of an early teenage girl so well she absolutely melted into the background fabric of extras and is practically invisible.
her portrayal of bucktooth younger sister Donna in 'Rumble Fish' is arguably her breakout role. she absolutely steals the scene from Matt Dillon and Diane Lane
