binged the umbrella academy last night.. i really liked it but its not gonna be for everyone. darkish super hero
it was kinda (the watchman) but not quite as gritty, lot of cool fun music put to fight scenes. i absolutely love robert sheehan who plays klaus, he's almost in a recast of his "misfits" role. the cast in general is pretty well selected.

Was wondering how this was. Director said he was really influenced by Wes Anderson Royal Tenenbaums.

spouse has been watching Umbrella Academy and i've half assed paid attention while mostly on my phone. i kept hearing a very familiar voice, mostly in regards to the rhythmic pacing, and finally realized the actor that plays Hazel is:
Spoiler:
Cameron Britton, who plays Edmund Kemper in Mindhunter
Umbrella Academy is pretty good so far, I'm surprised it's not getting more attention here. I'm 4 deep and so far its pretty good from an original story, good characters, cool visuals.
I don't have anything bad to say so far.

i like how the talking monkey butler tries to carry himself with dignity but his name is still Pogo
A little late to the Sex Education party, but binged it with my gf over the last few nights and I think it's really fantastic. Kinda like a British version of (the GOAT) American Vandal, in that it's a great comedy about the awkwardness and difficulty of being a teenager that manages to hit a lot of serious notes really well at the same time.
Fell asleep about 2/3s of the way in. Seems like the real proponents are just scam artists getting huge youtube views and another guy making bank building and selling flat earth models. The followers are just your typical garden variety conspiracy theory nutjobs. The fact that a few people are able to monetize this nonsense makes me wonder what else could be or more importantly what next?
Been waiting a while to post this but (without googling) - did any of the N. American posters in here find anything a little odd about Sex Education? There's something obvious to Brits and I'm current if and when Americans noticed it. If you're questioning whether or not the thing you're thinking of is the same as what I'm talking about it probably isn't. You either noticed it or not, I think.

No idea. You can use spoilers to help us who can't read your mind.

It seemed to me like the accents were exceptionally accessible to American ears compared to most British TV I've seen, and that it was probably designed to be marketed to Americans from the start. But idk if that's what you're thinking of.
gf found a nice show for cat lovers - Kitten Rescuers. It follows SPCA workers and vets and the like around the UK as they save cats from hazard and danger! There are lots of cats and kittens, and they are very cute.
