I'm not sure if 13 reasons why could have more generic characters or storylines they stole from actual events. One of the directors said that they went with a storyline based on that being the most likely thing to happen based on statistics. pretty sure they did that for almost every possible character interaction.

Anyone else watch Safe? I'm biased as all hell because one of the producers (Harlan Coben) is my favorite author but I thought it was pretty good. If you've read any of his books, the story telling lives up to his standard

It was just renewed for season 2.
Only watched three eps so far. I don't think it's terrible, but it's pretty shallow.

Evil Genius was great! I wasn’t bored at any point, but that was probably due to it only being 4 eps. Quick watch and an insane story!!

It’d be worth twice the price of Netflix if they get one of these every month or 2. Don’t think I’ve seen a bad one yet!!

Finally got around to checking out season 2 of "3%." After rewatching season 1 b/c it had been so long since I watched it, I could barely remember who was on what side.

Of course there was almost no way for them to match how great season 1 was, but in some episodes it came close and was much more suspenseful than the first. The structure of the season is completely different and mostly takes place in the week or so leading up to the following year's process.

Overall I'd say it was very enjoyable and a worthy follow up to an amazing 1st season It did take a couple of episodes for the story to really pick up, but once it did, there were some very intense episodes. There were a couple of plot twists they kinda pulled outta their ass and 1 or 2 scenes that seemed like filler to me, but for the most part the writing was still very good.

I'm from just outside Erie. If you ever frequented the poker rooms in Salamanca or Irving (when they had one) we've probably played against each other.

Didn't really need to watch the doc as that **** was daily news around here for years after it happened. It's without a doubt one of the most bizarre true crime stories. It's like something out of a movie.

It was ok for several episodes but toward the end I didn't care what happened and never even finished it.

Spoiler:
Seina looks like she is going to save the season. those guys might as well have been the characters on big bang theory. "oh yeah, I'm an upper too! we get rowdy" lolll there has been zero rowdiness all season. that girl walks in and goes "I look better in that seat please move" and shion ****ing does. tsubasa and ami are giving death stares. incredible tv. also tsubasa was straight stylin on those hockey girls. can't remember how many goals she scored over two games and says "it was 8 or 9" what a legend.

really pumped to see where it goes

Didn't even make it past the first 15 minutes. Couldn't care less about the other kids; 40 second PSA at the beginning was a bad sign

Finally finished Wild Wild Country, it was good. This is what happens when people/groups start pushing each other. Maybe I missed it but the 'gotcha' moment the Gov't had with Osho to me was just a "really, that's it?" What did they get him on? Some immigration side stepping with the marriages. Who cares. They never implied he had knowledge of anything Sheela was doing.

Who knows if they would have thrown their weight around if the towns people just let them be, but the towns people really threatened the group first and Sheela wasn't going to let that go. Once the group started to throw their weight around and pushed back really hard the locals acted like it was unprovoked.

I guess Sheela never stole the $55 million.

I wish the Doc would have had some of Osho's best teachings because they showed no reason why people would follow him or why the lawyer thought he was the greatest man he ever met.

Agreed - there were multiple spots where I thought they'd painted themselves into a corner, only to get out of it in a shocking but logical way.

mid life crisis with them thinking its a way of life. to me its like the worst kind of religion tho they woul never say it. its completely understandable why people would want to live there. hell there are people who want to go to mars, wanted to explore the ****ing arctics in 1845s or watever,

she def prolly took some money. i don tthink it was ever gonna last tho, it wouldve ended up like rome, destroyed from the inside, more money funneling in, more people dippin ghands into the pot and more rifts.

Yeah, Sheela had to have taken some, there was like 15 or so of them living in Germany, they never said they had jobs before Sheela did the tabloid interview.

Was thinking about Osho, he must have been real clean because there were thousands of hours of recordings Sheela had in his room and the Gov't didn't get squat on him.

osho seemed to not do ****, whover was 2nd in command was running ****. I don tknow all this "osho told me to do this or that" if thats the case then im surprised with those tapes they have nothing unless sheela deleted or didnt record some. but thats thinking too deep imo

Explained is good non fiction documentary style weekly topics, three eps so far. I like this trend of some series on Netflix being weekly instead of full on binge

Fallet: Swedish (I think?) comedic take on the detective series that are all over Netflix. Two lead actors do good work and while alot of dialogue is subtitled, it's worth a watch. Relatively short - 10 or so 25 minute episodes.
