all of episodes is now on netflix. its not great but its pretty light and fun, especially if you found joey from friends relatively charming. im ~3 seasons in, some pretty great moments, but overall pretty predictable, much like the sitcom industry it mocks.

I'm a fan of Episodes (I'm biased towards transatlantic stuff).

Agree it's not a super great must see show. It's a solid seven or eight out of ten that'svery undemanding and happens to fit right in my wheelhouse. Matt Le Blanc plays Matt Le Blanc so there's quite a few callbacks to Friends (and two great unexpected cameos).

Watched Black, it's a Korean show about a women who can see who will die soon and a Grim Reaper that goes into a dead mans body. She saves people and he tries to find a missing Reaper and they stumble on a old complex case. There are lots of coincedences but I enjoyed it. A couple names screwed me up and I would get lost for a little bit but there are like 18 episodes at 75min each so it's pretty long.

Episodes ended well also. Predictably, but enjoyably.

end of the ****ing world was enjoyable. I thought it got much better after 2 episodes and found myself sad it ended so quickly.

Extras was a solid recommendation a few pages back, very funny.

The Fall is good if you like realistic crime/police/serial killer stuff.

Finally finished travelers season 2. It was decent wasnt a huge fan of the ending but entertained me enough.

Have moved on to end of the fn world. I'm like 5 episodes in and really loving it.

Not sure what makes end of the ****ing world click with the 2p2 demographic seeing as it's clearly based on a book aimed at 14 year olds but I enjoyed it as well.

I'm à slow pony. Enjoying American vandal too much for my ego
Probably one of the strongest release of 2017 but the premise will keep too many viewers away to get the love it deserve

Don't both with The Open House. Total waste of time and one of the worst endings of a movie I have ever seen.

+1 to Episodes. Some story lines get tiring as they tend to repeat themselves, but overall it's a really funny and enjoyable show.

Two episodes in to "Dark", and I am hooked. Love the mix of horror/mystery/sci fi, I find it to be well balanced and executed so far.

Can't stand the english dub though, couldn't make it past 5 minutes into episode 1 that way. Found it way more enjoyable with german audio and english subtitles.

Some episodes of the season surprised me because they really pushed the constraints set up by the world instead of just using the the world as a set up to tell an episodic series. The Groundhog Day like episode was good in that they took an aspect of the world and ran with it.

Watched like a season and a half of travellers. Some of the time I was really hooked but there were a lot of "why am I watching this" moments.

Spoiler:
Like when Mac decides to risk the lives of 10s of thousands of people instead of killing one ******* general

The first season of the expanse was absolutely excellent. Really noticed the quality coming straight from travellers. The storyline is tight and compelling with none of the filler "character exploring" bull**** episodes. You can tell one is an adaption of a book with an actual plot instead of a vague storyline they might get round to telling us about in a bit if they run out of cool ideas for individual episodes.

Prime Video: Microbe & Gasoline

Charming and original Bildungsroman.

Think this might be leaving Prime soon and it's worth watching.

Watched AlphaGo, thought it was okay. I think its most interesting aspect was as a study of the human reaction to the AlphaGo-Lee Sedol match - the time spent with DeepMind and the AG team is probably the least interesting part to me, you don't learn all that much about AI.

Really enjoyed " A Futile and Stupid Gesture." A film about the creators of National Lampoon. It didn't cover any new ground that the Doc "Drunk Stoned Brilliant Dead" did, but as someone who based their college career on the teachings of Animal House, I'm a sucker for anything National Lampoon related.

I thought the quick Arkanoid demonstration at the beginning of the film sold me for what the AI was doing.

There's one aspect of that I didn't quite understand - why is the AI doing anything at all? They made a point of saying they didn't teach it anything about how to play the game or, iirc, even define what success means. So why the hell is it...doing...anything at all? What is a game without an objective?

Just found out family guy is being taken off Netflix on feb 14. I’m so sad. Family guy is like half my viewing on Netflix. Half of the time it’s for background noise but I still enjoy the **** out of the show. Ho hum. I don’t really want to have to get Hulu just to watch family guy.
