Highly recommend this, if you enjoy stuff like True Detective, Twin Peaks, Stranger Things, 12 Monkeys.

That's great advice, I couldn't make it past 5 minutes with the English dubbing. I'll try it again

I turned off the English dub almost immediately and was kind of pissed it was the default. I had assumed the narration at the beginning was meant to be in English then panicked once I heard a character start speaking in English. I don't recall an English dub being the defualt when I watched Les Revenants on Netflix a few years ago.

On a related note, I'm really enjoying the show four episodes in.

its not as good of a "western" as westworld. but if you ejoy the first 2-3eps, then its a fun ride. i would still recommend it to lurkers looking for a show to watch
Sounds like my exact experiences with this show. Think i got into season 3 before i lost interest. Really liked the first two seasons and maybe someday ill finish.

Watching stranger things 2 with the GF currently. Decent enough for me and she really likes it.

Punishers next on my play list i think.

yeah ditto all this. I wouldn't have made it five minutes with the dubbing, brutal.

I watched another 1.5 ep's tonight and I just can't get into it. I'm almost half wzay through so might as well tough it out.

If it's dubbed in your default language Netflix will use by default like every other show. And if you watch it in German your next-generation show will be dubbed in German if available aswell.

i just watched first episode last night with english subtitles. am i correct that there is not supposed to be a german narrator's voice? i was confused when it started dubbed at some points early on there was a narrator speaking in german but then when i switched to german w/english subtitles the narrator seemed to go away for the same scenes?

anyway very intrigued after episode 1. prob will binge the hell out of it this weekend

Hired Gun

Doc about session/side players. Well made and very interesting. I stayed with it because I said "oh, I recognize that guy from Death Punch". His name is Jason Hook and his is one of the really good stories in the movie. Some have great success, some get ****ed. The doc gives both sides.

Movie stars only act when motion picture cameras are rolling and not when documentary cameras roll?

Gotta admit I was wrong on Dark. I mean it was kind of a convoluted mess throughout and I could live w/o dumb **** like middle aged business women rappelling and spelunking in heels. All that aside it got very compelling towards the end and left me wanting more. Great opening credits/song btw.

For all we know it is something like a nursing home that has one Netflix account and had set movies for a month at different times in different rooms.

Which makes it not horrifying but sad.

I mean if you didnt assume that Netflix is tracking everything you watch then youre living in some fairy tale. Same goes for literally everything

It's not the fact that they have the ability to track this information. It's the fact that the social media manager has access to this information and feels comfortable sharing this information with the general public. How many employees have access to this information? What controls are in place for exactly who can access this data and what it can be used for? Why is the social media manager creeping on people? And why are they publicly shaming their customers?

Detectorists - British low key comedy/drama. Love it. It's hard to describe what makes it so good - it's not laugh out loud funny & doesn't have quotable lines or memorable moments. It's just ... very enjoyable and relaxing. The lead actors are excellent. It might be an acquired taste - if you don't like the first episode Detectorists is probably not for you. I'm confident it will soon become a thread favourite that everyone has watched. Like most British shows, it doesn't have many episodes. 13 on Netflix. The final season of six ends on Wednesday in the UK - not sure when it will get added to Netflix.
