Not even in the same stratosphere in regards to quality of acting, scripts and everything else you would associate with a top ten GOAT Tv show.

Nobody said it was. It was a good show. It had potential. It's a shame they killed it after one season.

season 3 is airing soon hopefully.

I like it , its not on the same level as sopranos but id say its a more realistic look at mafia type stuff, sopranos is my no_1 of all time the two shows are quiet diff as in sopranos offers humour as well as mob stuff

Gomorrha is a good show, it shows how cut throat the business is with no real loyalty and not much humour in it at all its also a bit grimier, as in street hustling/dealing heroin etc

Been watching the original Mystery Science Theater 3000 episodes and even though a lot of the references are obviously dated, I still laughed a lot.

I dont give a **** about may schumer but it tilts me when people talk about joke stealing. **** OUTTA HERE. go watch eddie murphys special in the late 80's and then you'll say EVERY ****ING COMEDIAN from the past 20 years has stolen **** from him.

good material is good material, and its not necessarily stolen. I'm Serious, eddie murphys special is the groundwork of most comedians to this day, if you dont believe me watch his 2 specials and just know that those came out in the late 80's.

I prefer the 1-5 star system. I only watch stuff which Netflix recommend 4.5 stars and/or has a good Metacritic score. Overwhelmingly I like what I watch on Netflix, so I'd give everything I watch thumbs up. But there's a big difference between stuff I enjoy (3 stars) & stuff I love (5 stars). The current algorithm is really great at recommendations for me. I wish they'd at least give a third option ("meh").
I know when YouTube switched they did so because 90% plus of all ratings were 1s or 5s. I doubt Netflix is much different. Plus every person would have their own criteria for applying various levels. As you noted some wouldn't bother or just used it as thumbs up / thumbs down anyways.

The Matrix was on AMC last weekend so I was obviously watching, and there were lots of trailers for Into the Badlands season 2. It looked pretty cool, I saw season 1 was on Netflix, so I started watching it. I'm really into it a lot. I think a big part of it is the fight scenes (lots of hand to hand combat with swords and stuff) - which are incredible - but I also think the story is quite interesting on its own. Only 3 out of the 6 eps done so far in season 1, but I'd say check it out if you find this interesting.

Yeh, you're right. I still enjoyed it. I watched both specials today. I feel the 2nd special is better and has more consistent laughs. I love his white guy voice so so much haha

I watched the first Chappelle special last night. I'll watch the 2nd one tonight or tomorrow.

Did anyone else pick up on Chappelle's vibe in the first one? He just seemed depressed. When his jokes were on, he was good But overall, he just seemed sad.

Been wanting to watch that for a while. Thanks, didn't know it was on Netflix! It's supposedly outstanding.

Netflix's rating suggestions are outstanding. It thought I'd rate Seven Psychopaths 2 stars out of 5, surprising since I lean heavily towards critically lauded films & SP is 82% on RT, but I saw SP at the cinema and thought it was hot garbage. Impressive for Netflix to suss out I wouldn't like it.

2nd one is better but 1st one has harder laughs for me

I saw him do the 1st set in Portland in a pretty small club and it was amazing. Definitely more personal and not over the top hilarious. He sat on the stage and smoked most of the time, it was a very relaxed atmosphere, which might have fit better based on the reactions here.

Starting set 2 later today!

Iron Fist was pretty meh. It's like they got the writers from House of Cards seasons 3/4. It's just a compete filler series.

Spoiler:
We learn nothing really new about "The Defenders" series. Iron Fist doesn't even really give the back story of the Iron Fist. It's just Danny Rand back story(Marvel Bruce Wayne) and a few characters added to show they are part of the whole.

Watched it, liked it, I do recommend. However it actually requires WATCHING, as its hard to remember who is on which side, plus I think it has subtitles, so not a great "watch it in the background while i play online backgammon" show

Iron Man is Marvel Bruce Wayne. This version of Danny Rand just seems borderline ******ed. None of the characters really make much sense and the martial arts choreography seems a notch below DD. There also is a large mishmash of cultural appropriation that seems more gratuitous and inaccurate than other Marvel IP.

Iron Man(Tony Stark) is a hero. Batman(Bruce Wayne) is an anti-villain, same as Danny Rand. Their stories are nearly identical. They disappear for years come back with martial arts and a mission. Bruce Wayne fights the mob, Rand the Hand.

Tony Stark is simply taken prisoner and that pushes him to make the ultimate weapon to fight evil. Stark is part of the wiener, genius but can still fight because of science guys branch.
