Me too, about a week ago. Really funny, I think I'm in like S2E3, just wonder if puberty jokes can carry the entire show through multiple seasons.

Yeah sort of like I quit on IASIP at some point. Still funny but the novelty wore off.

I’m only like 5 eps in, but I’ve got high hopes. There’s plenty of intelligent humor in there.

Also I know it’s Nick kroll but you’ll never convince me that Maury isn’t Will Arnett

Thanks for posting this on here. I was skimming through the last few pages of this thread looking for something recommended that was decent on netflix. I pay for netflix but I actually get HBO Go for free through my internet service provider. I've seen most of the classic stuff on HBO but since only receiving HBO again about a year ago from my ISP, Barry was something I never even glanced at much past seeing Bill Hader as the lead(wasn't sure he could do that) and then the HBO summary doesn't really do it justice.

I binged this in a little over a day. Absolutely loved the style. I'm big into dark comedies in general but something about the comedy in this series really hit me hard laughing at it much of the time. It also had some great drama and acting in general. Just great dark comedic writing. Thanks for the recommendation and to anyone that hasn't seen it give it atleast a few episodes and you'll be able to tell if it's your cup of tea.

If you like dark comedy. Dead to Me is great, 2 seasons on Netflix. Christina Applegate and
Linda Cardellini.

Holy ****, I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson is ****ing HILARIOUS.

Yeah, Barry is definitely a delightful watch Am presenting watching Karppi, a neo-noir 2 seasons series from Finland ; it took me about 4 episodes to get into it, but definitely worth the watch (no audio in English).

Another interesting series - albeit fails in certain areas - for sci-fi/time travelling buffs : If I Hadn't met You, a Catalan series that resolves more on the different timelines of an impossible love story.

Detroiters is funny too.

And of course Barry is the best show on TV still in production.

OT blog post incoming: Finnish is a funny language as in usually throughout Europe you can make out plenty of stuff here and there because of the shared language roots. For example, I speak German and English, bits of Latin and Norwegian and can read the Scandi languages just fine sometimes and Danish, Norwegian, Icelandic and Swedish are similar.
Nothing like that in Finland - not a single word. This actually was not cool at a large Finnish scouts convention I went to, as they didn't bother at all to translate anything at the main stage - and they were a few thousand international scouts there like us. Every morning at 7 we got up to watch the Finnish flag being hoisted - pointless to us, I usually went straight back to my sleeping bag lol.
That was weird but it's of course a beautiful country and also Helsinki is nice. Canoeing on Finnish lakes for days is still one of the best holidays I've ever done.

Song Exploder - Killers "When You Were Young - solid episode with some cool old vegas flashbacks.

Dua Lipa "Love Again" Terrible choice for his show. The song has no substance and she uses a writing team. That doesn't fit this show. I went back and looked at the lyrics and she repeats one line 20 times in the song. It's basically two hooks merged into one song and they alternate repeating. Dua Lipa at least seemed interesting unlike Alicia Keys who came off as completely pretentious in her episode.

I'd like to see Billie Eilish, Run the Jewels, Rage Against the Machine, Grimes, Counting Crows, Wu-Tang, Weeknd, Vampire Weekend on future episodes.

I can't imagine all of those not being completely insufferable except for Vampire Weekend, who I've heard on a podcast, they are just boring as ****. Wu-tang may be alright for a couple of segments, but a whole ep would get annoying.

Check out Tim Robinson’s episode on the Netflix show The Characters. It’s basically an entire episode of I think you should leave.

A lot of artists are that way. Reznor’s episode was great but a lot of people would label him insufferable.

I'm not talking about their music. I'm referring to their personalities and how a show with them and their own music would be awful.

Hot take, but I'd guess a lot of massive music stars could easily be classed as insufferable.
