If The Shield had only been 4 select seasons it'd easily be my favourite show ever...

In a similar vein, I watched Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping. Slow pony, but had never heard of it.

Standard Andy Samberg movie, he plays his usual character, lots of celeb cameos, silly story, but some decent comedy in there as well. I enjoyed it.

More than one Glenn Close season would have been great.

I don't know if it's on any on demand services, but the Senna docuflick is excellent

Just finished rewatching this for the 3rd time. I feel you can rewatch it every 3-5 years and it's so good. Seasons 3/4 are amazing. But I also find it disappointing because you know while watching it they'll never be a show that good again.

The Senna doc was on Netflix, but I haven't seen it yet. I did watch the Shelby doc on Netflix which I thought was good.

Watched "The Old Guard" last night. Would have been perfectly satisfied paying $20 to see that in the theatre, and a rare time when the end "maybe we'll do a sequel" teaser left me very much wanting to see the sequel. Also a great example of an action hero movie where the two leads are women and it doesn't feel forced/woke in the least.

space force isn't as bad all all the internet reviews made it out to be. Not laugh out loud funny and started out slow but I like it more now that I'm in the middle episodes.

Season 5 is clear worst since Simon was too tilted to write a nuanced newspaper plot/characters. But it gave us the finale, which wraps the show up perfectly, so maybe it was worth it.

I also watch every couple years and agree there will never be another quite as good. Sopranos, Treme, and Mad Men are the closest I’ve seen.

Rewatching Bojack and Trailer Park Boys and they are both all-time great comedies for v different reasons. The writing holds up v well for both, and I was nervous for TPB.

On revisits, early TPB is always surprisingly well crafted.

+1 was very surprised how much I enjoyed it, the action scenes were great. ended up watching atomic blonde the following night with the same lead actress but it sucked

I just got through all 8 seasons of Homeland. Season 1 was the best of the 8.
Season 8 is the final season. It began to fade a bit in the middle seasons but picked up in the last two and season 8 was very good and worth the watch. Some seasons intertwine a bit but they are pretty stand alone. I like the location shoots which are mainly done in Israel and Morocco.

Thanks for the "Old Guard" hype. I probably would never have given this one a shot. I still haven't watched it but I'll put it on my "to watch" list.

Currently alot of great movies added to my netflix:

Beetlejuice and all three Back to the Futures, Big Lebowski, and I even threw on the Friday the 13th: Jason takes Manhattan the other evening for some late night horror humour.

I'm in Thailand and on Thai version of netflix right now. Not using the VPN atm to get US but really happy with all the recent additions in my country.

The one I'm currently watching is their recently added "Unsolved Mysteries". Those of you fans of the original will probably really enjoy it. I'm three episodes into it so far and all three have been really fascinating stories. I'm also super curious to see the impact that something like this being broadcasted across the world on Netflix might have on the leads to possible information in solving these cases in the future.

Lots of love for "The Old Guard" building up itt. I'm glad I watched it before reading the hype. I tend to get more wound up, then more let down.

Didn't hate it, but was excited about a new immortal story. (It's always interesting to me to watch or read how people think about the possibilities in immortality.) So I "watched instantly," and was mildly unimpressed. It felt a little thrown-together, or forced, or something. Can't quite put my finger on it.

Would watch a sequel, though, to find out where the story goes.

Apologies if these have been discussed--I think I'm behind the times in most TV. Just consider these "plus-ones," then.

Queen of the South: Hyperweird in spots, but I couldn't turn it off.

Bad Blood: I'm sure it's only loosely tied to the real story, but I'd watch a dozen seasons of Declan's ass-kicking.

The Good Place: An ex-girlfriend suggested this, and it's not really my cup of tea, but the episodes are 1/2-hour-network-show-short (22 minutes), which made it easy to give a look. I'm through all three Netflix seasons and will try to find the final season On Demand. Not much LOL, but chuckleworthy often enough to enjoy in short increments.

I've watched bojack more times than any other show, it's the only show I've ever started watching over again immediately after finishing, and it's a top 5 all time fav for me.
