Wife and I enjoyed the 8 episodes of Safe, pretty interesting and plot constantly changing with a surprising end. Would recommend as a show to watch with a lady

im only halfway through ozark season 3. the pacing in this season is miles ahead and better than the first two. and its not at a super fast rushed pace either, its a brisk really good pace. no mater what the next 5 eps hold in tore, this series keeps getting better and better., season 1 was super average season 2 was better and season 3 has to be the best season yet.

Question about ozark ep2

Spoiler:
why would marty promise revenues from a second casino in order to get the mob to cause an explosion that prevents him from closing the deal to buy that very casino? made no sense

also dont get why he wouldnt just tell his wife about the fbi threat of they were to expand

its always had plot holes and threads if you read into it.

communication is important. only 5 eps in Ozark s3 but its still way better than first two seasons imo. better pcing, more solid. everyone says the writing is super good but the acting really helps it. tbh. i hope they dont go down the route of lets just throw a bunch of diff holes for them to squeak out of

He didn't want it opened so soon as that gets too much attention. He didnt even want that deal in the first place, but his wife was obv going thru with it, so he had to stop it

Short answer = less heat

Listened to the Joe Exotic podcast. Story was pretty wild.

Been trying to go low impact lately, been watching a lot of cooking stuff. Really like this Chef Show

I watched Lords of Chaos on Hulu last night. What a trip, been thinking about it all day.

It's an adaptation of the early Norwegian Black Metal scene, specifically the beginnings of Mayhem, Dead's saga, the church burnings, and rising tensions between Euronymous and Varg Vikernes. It features some very brutal scenes alongside some brilliantly self-aware and dark humor. The film is told tongue-in-cheek from Euronymous' perspective, played excellently by Rory Culkin.

I definitely recommend if you have even a passing interest in the scene. We discussed the real life events in the Wikipedia thread not too long ago: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Early_...ck_metal_scene

Edit: The 2008 documentary on the topic, Until the Light Takes Us, is also available on Amazon Prime.

4 episodes into Ozark season 3 and it's awesome....at first, I didn't like Wendy's brother but I like where they're going with him now. And I love Ruth's interactions with Frank Jr.

Ruth is so good. I remember she was really good in that amazon prime tv show about love stories.
I hope she get better role in the future Ozark is pretty average for a TV show and she stand out so much.

Obv, but the mob wouldn't be too pleased doing that hit and getting nothing in return

2 EPs in to Ozarks, looks fine but as always the plotholes etc. all around are little annoying.

I enjoyed the hell out of Ozark S3. So good, so dark, amazing acting by all. The guy who played Ben though....just wow. Give that man an award.

the ending left me wanting more yet unsatisfied but I hate movie endings where I have to decide what it means, I'm still annoyed about not being sure what was in the briefcase in Pulp Fiction (damn great movie 20+ years later, the dialogue is outstanding!)

Only through Ep3 of Ozarks season 3 and if i wasnt already invested by watching the first 2 seasons I would probably just not finish at this point. Its getting more and more cheesy literally by the scene.. I now remember almost stopping during season 2 also due to this but given we're on lockdown i guess ill ride it out. Bring on the Cheese!

Ozark season 1, we thought the show was about Marty....season 2, we thought it was about Wendy....but in season 3, it's clear now...it's really about Ruth.

This show doesn't hasn't had a problem killing off characters.

Spoiler:
Hopefully it's the boy next season. Even better would be some better version of GoT and only one of Laura Linney, Bateman, or Ruth remains standing. Rooting for team Bateman here yo.

All of this. I think your prediction is right on. Can't wait for S4.

Spoiler:
Even though you could feel it coming, that scene when she and Wyatt first hooked up was so gross. I mean, I love older women but that's taking it to another level.

Finished last night and felt the same way. Way too many things that just dont make any sense.

Still exciting though.
