watched Brotherhood of Justice. 1986. its about highschoolers who kind of become vigilantes of their school. Its made for tv I think, nothing too special about it. I did enjoy though. Features early roles by Keanu Reeves and Kiefer Sutherland though, thats why I watched it, so thats my recommendation. Check it out if you want to see some early work from those guys.

I had watched season 2 of Party Down so I was excited to see that season 1 was on WI. After 5 episodes they quit working so I went to the website and only the first 5 eps were WI, the rest were disc.

WTF???

Then this thread isn't really where you want to be. But the process of putting a new movie in your queue isn't that hard. Movie A comes out in theaters, but you decide you'd rather rent it later on Netflix than go to the theater. So you go to Netflix and search for Movie A. Netflix will already have a page for it set up, but instead of Add the button says Save. Whenever they get the movie it will be moved to your queue. In fact, I have 3 movies that are not out yet, but Netflix has moved into my queue with a note saying the day the rental will be available.

If you can't find out what movies are coming out on DVD, you fail at using the internet. Usually there are threads about hit movies coming out in theaters. If one catches your interest, just add it on Netflix then.

This thread in The Lounge deals with movies in general, I don't know if it's good for what you want it for:

Spartacus: Blood and Sand ftw!

and ya, don't give up on it just based on the first episodes.

In honor of MLK day, I suggest you all watch Jamie Foxx SNL from January 8, 2000.

just started watching Intelligence s1. it's like a crappier Canadian version of The Wire. I'm 3 eps in. the Canadianisms are annoying, but it's decent so far.

I watched all 4 seasons and imho season 4 is the best.

My second favorite season was season 2, followed by 1 and 3. Season 3 is the worst season, by far.

Were you a 24 fan? I loved it and so did a lot of my friends, and we all loved Prison Break, too. The people who hated one of them usually hated the other as well.

i only made it through about 20 minutes but holy ****in crap that Sean william scott tennis movie that was #1 on instantwatcher for a few days is bad. The only reason I lasted as long as I did is because there is a very good chance it will be the last time Randy Quaid was sane enough to get a job.

yeah i like 24. it just seemed like every scene in prison break was forced. none of it seemed natural. just stuff the writers had to come up with to make fake drama.

exactly. not to mention all the stuff that is just completely unbelievable. i don't think i've rolled my eyes so many times in my life as i did watching this show.

i mean, the people making the show can count on the audience for a certain degree of suspended disbelief, BUT COME ON!

on the other hand, i watched "who's that knocking at my door?" last night and it was very good. it's one of scorsese's first films.

season 1 is great, watched a few eps into season 2 and realized it was getting stupid, read the wikipedia summary for the rest of it and lol'd at how incredibly stupid it would get later, really glad I didn't finish

can't believe anyone wouldn't like season 1 though

a prophet (un prophete) is a ****ing absolutely outstanding movie. it's a sort of prisoner gangster film that tracks a young loner over his 6 year prison term and his rise among the criminal elements in the prison. lots of violence but also an incredibly well done movie. it's french and apparently won a lot of the major french film awards and i think also won the grand jury at cannes.

ive had it sitting in my queue in that collection of "good" movies that i never make myself watch because i just stream arrested development episodes ive already seen 10 times, but i finally got around to watching it and it is awesome

full disclosure: it's in french, arabic and corsican. and 155 minutes. but tehre are pretty clear chapter breaks, so you could watch it over a a couple sittings.

everyone needs to watch the whole of Spartacus: Blood and Sand from beginning to end. Seriously, just do it over a week.

NEW SPARTACUS SERIES COMING OUT VERY SOON. IT'S A PREQUEL IMO.
