I realize this is offtopic, but it's pretty weird so I'll mention it. I first saw Dog Day Afternoon in a high school US History class. Not that the movie had much to do with the subject matter but our teacher was a priest who wasn't interested in anything related to US History after the Civil War, so once we got to that part he just gave us take-home assignments and we watched movies every day. Saw that, Major League, other totally non-educational films. And he'd let us go to get pizza and drinks during class. At least until some ASS CLOWN student ratted him out to the administration, so he had to stop showing movies and made us do our homework during class time.
Anyway, it's a really solid movie that I'd recommend.

Looks like lots of great new stuff has been added...the top 50 most popular list looks really sick right now.
That site is fantastic, and well done e.g. hovering over titles to get info. I like that they have the RT rating alongside the film. And to the five critics who panned Blazing Saddles: lol @ u. Although I agree that the fourth wall ending was just too much and more of a negative than anything.
