Agreed, just finished it. I knew that this had happened back in the 50s but didn’t know the extent of it. Extremely well done.

overall i liked godless a lot, really except for the first and last episodes, which i thought was strange. the beginning felt really slow and the end felt really rushed, but everything in the middle i thought was great. still though, worth watching, especially if you miss deadwood.

IMDb got street cred ranking The Shawshank Redemption so highly. I think that is what IMDb on the map.

Had no idea this was up there, thanks.

One of my old bosses got a letter from the Unabomber. Didn't go off, luckily [or they spotted it in the mail room, forget which]. That must have been such a creepy feeling.

New dave chappelle special is some of his best work.

first set is funny and poignant, the second second is more intimate and retrospective and he gets into a little of what he did during his time away from comedy. If you want laughs skip the second one, but the second is very funny for its own reasons.

That was my thoughts as well. I loved both. A lot. Have probably watched/listened 5 times since they came out.

I thought the Chappelle specials were more amusing / interesting than laugh out loud funny

Victoria - German English language film. A good, dark movie that is a must watch for cinephiles. One of the most extraordinary achievements I've seen on celluloid - Sturla Brandth Grøvlen's non-nomination for best cinematography was disgraceful. Should you watch it? If you're a cinephile, 100%. If you're not a cinephile but like dark films/thrillers, yes. If you're not a cinephile and not in to dark films/thrillers, no.

The Ridiculous 6 was surprisingly very entertaining and funny. I had low expectations but its worth the watch. Literally every comedian/actor associated with Sandler is in the movie and then some. I found a particular baseball scene to be very ammusing.

Loved both new Chapelle specials. Very different from his older stuff, but I laughed out loud several times during both.

Agree with the take that 2nd is more serious and potentially upsetting for some. I thought he did a very good job taking a terrible topic, and not only making it somewhat funny, but also interjecting his own ideals. Would have loved to be at that show. He came off very intelligent IMO.

Rotten a new docuseries about the food supply that I think many of you will like. I've only watched the 1st episode but it was pretty sweet.

I've watched the first three episodes and enjoyed them. It covered a lot of stuff I was already aware of but was interesting nonetheless.

I actually spotted a bee in my vegetable garden the other day and got quite excited. It's quite incredible the amount of bees around compared to when I was a kid. I don't really understand why people aren't more concerned about it as they are so vital to us. I have been trying to plant more stuff that bees love.

I assume they'll be getting to vegemite and other problems down under in the next few episodes!

Watched the 2nd episode
Spoiler:
This was the best explanation for the rapid increase in peanut allergies that I've come across.

You would have to sit closer then that to fully get the 4k. Probably 5' with a 70", otherwise stay with 1080
