The dif movie sites do have a different demographic, as long as you are familiar with a site you are fine. It's interesting though, because this place is hit or miss sometimes. You have 16 year olds saying something is good and you have 65 years olds saying other things are good and those two groups probably never agree. And there is everything in between, but I see a lot of good recommendations here and its a fun thread.

Guessing the average demo here in OOT is 20-40? Could be off for sure.
Imdb like most source of information is useful once you know how to interpret it and it's fairly consistent unlike rotten Tomatoes for exemple.

Bright was a mess but watachable m was cool getting to watch a big studio movie on Netflix as an original. Hope they do more of it.

Seemed like it would have worked better as a TV show given the extensive backstory of the world

Rotten tomatoes has been absolute **** the past couple of years. imdb has been petty reliable to filter out trash. Can pretty much skip any 5 movie unless it's a comedy that interests me.

I enjoyed it enough, but I agree, I would rather have like 6-10 hours of content to expand on the story, there is a lot of stuff there.

(I don't deny that the footage was shot "behind the scenes" in 1999ish.)
Milos Foreman is a bad actor ?

It is objectively an awesome premise for any number of high concept ideas and it's a crying shame they wasted it on an off brand Street Kings ripoff. It absolutely should be a cinematic universe.

Season 2 of Travelers is available on 12/26.

The first season was good enough for me to have some mild anticipation.

been so long ago that i watched that. i remember it starting pretty weak, basically ncis level procedural, but got better when they focused on a larger spanning storyline.

expecting it will be good enough to fill the days until black mirror

The concept is just so simple for something that is way more complex. It makes it an easy binge series even though it's not top level story telling.

Unabomber series I wanted to like but ended up quitting on in ep 3. It's just not well-made at all, chock full of cliches and dumb-downedness. Also Sam Worthington can't act worth a lick. Lots of cringe all around, no thanks. I see now that it was a Discovery Channel product lol.

Finally after all these years I am watching Black Books for the first time. Am currently up to season 2 and it's pretty funny. I think it's held up reasonably well considering it was made around 2000. It's pretty amazing it's taken me so long to watch considering I loved Father Ted and IT Crowd.

I started this bc Unabomber was in my town (Lincoln MT and I used to see him at the library as a kid). Altho I went into it knowing that I already know most of the story I expected it to be enjoyable...it wasn’t and I agree with you 100%. I find it hard to believe bad documentaries even get made any more.

I started the new season of Peaky Blinders. Even though it’s gotten increasingly over he top it’s still my favorite “easy” tv show bc it has enough of the stuff that I like. Still can’t help but feel like it’s getting increasingly over-the-top but I still love it. Looking fwd to the Punisher too

I actually enjoyed the unabomber miniseries(just finished it a few days ago). I'd give it a solid 7. I never knew too much about the unabomber until watching that. After the series I read a recent interview with the guy who was the main agent who the shows centered around, he said 80% of that show is factual.

Going to hop on season 2 of travelers tonight. Will watch as much as I can until black mirror hits then ill have to pause it for a couple days.

its obviously not a documentary. its a drama with fictional characters and the unabomber case as a backdrop

Wormwood is a really well done mini series. It used interviews and real life TV recordings to narrate a story about the mysterious death of a scientist (Peter Sarsgaard) in the 1950's. One of the best things Netflix put out recently.

Bright was okay. A little convoluted and pretty violent. Would have liked them to explore the universe a little more or explain more about how/why the society ended up the way it was.
