Didn't Tombstone just get added a couple of months ago? That seems like a pretty short run.

Yeah me too and really hadn't watched anything about it since then - brought back memories and had a lot of first person accounts - both players and fans

Just watched all of Peaky Blinders. Wow was that great. Can't wait for season 3. Sometimes I wish it was an American show though so it would be at least 6-8 thirteen episode seasons. Instead season 3 will likely be the end after another 6 episodes.

Is season 2 comparable to season 1 in quality?

another +1 to black mirror.

also just watched through dark net. surprisingly satisfied. some of the episodes were pretty dumb, but some were pretty solid. considering its 6 episodes and 25 minutes an episode, not a bad couple of hours spent

I watched a Louis CK special and the Chelsea Peretti special. A couple weeks apart. Now my "Top Picks" are filled with Bo Burnham, Aziz Ansari, Bill Engvall, Chris Porter, Jim Jeffries... who the **** is Chris Porter? Do people that watch one stand-up special usually like to binge watch other comics' specials?

Russel Peters Notorious. "An Anglo-Indian comic with a unique perspective riffs on all things cultural and ethnic. Hilariously." Ugh.

Lewis Black, Bill Burr... if I have to rate every Netflix stand-up I've watched as one star, I'll do it, but hopefully there's a way to opt out of being shown every comic that has been filmed just because one night I wanted to watch one specific performance.

Seinfeld's "Comedian" not available to stream, by the way.

Every one you named, sans Engvall, is awesome. Haven't seen Engvall and won't bother. Porter's is worth a watch.

I prefer my top picks be comedy specials since I don't know what all they have.

Watch something else? No clue. If they had a "standup comedy" category, then I'd be quite happy with that.

is nobody going to mention that locked up abroad and lock up are two totally different shows? Locked up abroad is the one where people get thrown in turkish prisons for like half a joint and lock up is the one where they interview the guys who throw **** all over the place to assert their dominance

I lost faith in Locked Up Abroad after poker player/actor Erik Aude was featured on the show after having been imprisoned in Pakistan. It was so over the top many people thought it was partially/completely fake.

2p2 even had a thread about it.

First off, every single special you posted is really funny.

Second, no one on Netflix makes you watch anything

Third, if you watched 2 action movies in a row then they'll start recommending you action movies. Maybe you're just new to Netflix?

I am new to Netflix!

Do people really binge watch stand up comedy specials, though? Maybe it's just because I don't watch them very often, but the thought of wanting to watch one every single time I fire up Netflix seems bizarre to me. Not so with Action or Comedy or Drama features, though. "Stand Up Comedy Special" is a super-narrow genre.

Anyways, was just a late night gripe while trying to find something to watch.

I don't think it's as much about binging as much as it is about their recommendations. If you watched one comedy special maybe you'd want to watch another. It's not like Hulu that will just start auto playing another show when you're done with one show.

Also the stand up "genre" is more common than it used to be thanks in large part to distribution outlets like netflix, for which we should all be thankful

Netflix recommendations are worthless. Watch Arrested Development they recommend random crap sitcoms, watch Cop Land they recommend Rhinestone, watch a doc about genocide they recommend cooking docs, etc.
