Netflix "Watch Instantly" - Page 463 - Other Topics Forum - Discuss Pop Culture, Arts and Entertainment

Just finished season 2 of American Horror Story, much better than I expected. Any word on when season 3 will be released on Instant? I did some googling without much luck. It's available on Netflix DVD Oct 7th, so I'm guessing the Instant release will be at least a month after that, although I don't think I have any logic behind that guess.

^ +1, and season 4 starts in a couple weeks so id imagine sometime soon. fwiw i liked season 3 of AHS a lot but it gets really, really, really weird. i just kind of rolled with it, just be ready for a lot of 'wat' moments

Didn't make it more than 10 minutes through Kevin Costner's 3 Days to Kill... 1st in the middle of a CIA mission to recover a dirty bomb, he leaves the surveillance van to make a birthday call to his daughter. Then he promptly shoots a bunch of bad guys THROUGH a cement overhang on the roof of a building.

I might go back and watch it for the comedic value, but as far as a serious thriller the movie is a complete joke.

Watched The Sacrament. It's a documentary style thriller. They don't say it in the synopsis, but it's basically a re-telling of the Jonestown massacre. Strange coincidence that the actor who plays "Father" is Gene Jones. It wasn't bad.

My thoughts exactly. Pretty good for a network show but youre gonna have a ceiling when youre doing 20+ eps a year for a wide audience. Reminds me of Person of Interest in that way. Also similar in the "case of the week" show with a mysterious background story arc.

Watched "Where The Trail Ends", a documentary about mountain bikers searching for untouched places to ride. Pretty awesome if you're into extreme sports type stuff.

VHS is good yes but I saw the Devil is arguably one of the best Korean revenge thrillers ever made....f***ing twisted.

An oldie is Session 9, an interesting take on the horror/thriller genre. Pretty creepy all in all, but not a classic horror, more slow-paced.
