There's a movie called Imprint that is part of the Masters of Horror series on Showtime. It is one of the best-strangest movies Ive ever seen. It is definately worth a watch although it's hard to watch at times. It never actually aired on showtime because they refused to play it. You will be thinking about it for a week or so afterward. Check it out!

If you like a good violent revenge movie, I just watched one called 'the Horseman' out of Australia, which is not to be confused with 'The Horsemen' starring Dennis Quaid, from the same year, which is a serial killer movie, not currently on Watch Instantly and not quite as well done, imo.

Just finished the series (been watching over past month or so) - really well done, am impressed. (Season 3 though took a nosedive in the last 5 self-contained episodes, but I think that's a result of the original 22 episode order being cut to 20, and not having enough time to do another overall mystery arc.)

It's amazing to me that 1) this aired on broadcast TV (even if it was UPN), considering how dark the series is and 2) that it even lasted 3 seasons, think it averaged roughly 2 million total viewers an episode, that's really pathetic (and some kind of commentary on how people have bad taste in stuff).

When gobbo wants some hope of getting laid, he watches the scene where Jabba the Hut has Princess Leia as a sex slave.

Is anyone having issues with Windows 7 and streaming videos?

I just upgraded to 7 from XP and I noticed that something funky is going on with the aspect ratios of the movies I'm watching.

The videos are no longer stretching to fit my monitor but instead it's rendering them at the exact pixel size of the video with black borders around the video. This becomes a problem when you run 1600x1200 and the video is like 768x480 or whatever a standard non-wide screen res might be. There's literally inches of blackness around the video.

I have no driver conflicts, and there's no silverlight settings to change the aspect ratio. I'm using IE8 to view them because Netflix doesn't support Opera (zzz). Previously in XP I was IE6 (don't worry, Netflix was the only site I ever used with IE6).

Just watched Carrier after I saw it suggested earlier ITT. Amazing show. I thought they did a great job capturing what a deployment is like.

Ignorant Question - is it possible to share your Netflix streaming account with someone else? Seems like there's no issue with doing so.

Thanks in advance!

Yes... at least it was allowed when I checked awhile ago. It's in their FAQ somewhere, but basically they say you take responsibility for whatever the other person does to your account. Not sure if you can both watch at the same time though, I'd think probably not.

Thanks - and looks like you can simultaenously stream on up to 4 devices, which is mainly why I was asking about this (according to this site):

Miguel asked if there was a limit to the number of simultaneous Netflix streaming titles you could watch, and according to the Netflix website the maximum number of streams depends on your unlimited plan:

Some membership plans allow you to watch simultaneously on more than one personal computer or Netflix ready device at the same time. If you are on the 1 disc out at-a-time plan, you may watch only one device at a time. If you are on the 2 discs out at-a-time plan, you may watch on up to two devices at the same time. Members on the 3 disc plan can watch on up to three devices. The maximum is four devices simultaneously, and that is available for members on the 4 or greater discs out at-a-time plans.

I was able to get 3 Netflix-ready devices (Mac, iPad & Roku Player) playing the same episode of Mythbusters at the same time on a 6mb DSL connection:

There is also a limit on the number of Netflix-ready devices you can activate per Netflix account: 6. If you have more than 6 devices like me (I test a lot of different Netflix-ready devices), you can deactivate a device and enable a new one.

Have you hit the streaming or Netflix-ready device limitation?

yeah i'll often be watching instantly on my computer while my roommates are watching something else instantly on the TV through the wii. no issues so far with stream quality but we have a 20mb connection and my computer is hard-wired.

i refuse to let them access my account on their computer, though. wii only for them. they watch more stuff than i do, so i should probably ask them to pay for part of my netflix bill, but oh well. i'm still getting my money's worth.

In the Netflix terms of agreement - it actually specifically says "X multiple devices can simultaneously stream in the same home" or something to that effect...

I'll be trying this with a friend who requested share of my Netflix account in a different city. Will let you all know how it goes...
