a G router is fast enough, yes, but that's not what's important. you could have an N router and still have issues if the your internet connection (from your ISP) is too slow.

i'd guess that you'd need at least 3-5 mpbs to stream netflix at a decent quality (i have 20 mpbs on the mid-range plan for my ISP). if you want to check what you have (or compare it to what your ISP claims you have), go to speedtest.net and check your speed.

sweet. I watched the first two seasons when they were on hulu last year... have to watch the last 3 pretty soon.

I can't keep track of everything I have on instant queue.

In the middle of Dexter season 2 right now. Definitely a guilty pleasure.

AFAIK I never saw a Korean film until I watched The Chaser. This action crime drama exceeded my expectations by a lot; it was sort of like Dirty Harry on steroids and better written.

The subtitles were well done and the quality of the stream was excellent. Highly recommended and I'm guessing it might be easily overlooked.

Any good horror movies anyone can recommend? I like senseless violence and hot girls screaming, but a good plot doesn't hurt.

Carnival of Souls is a pretty kick ass horror movie;not much violence though. The Exorcist is very good, so is Eyes Without a Face. I heard good things about Suspiria too, but did not see it.

Beavis & Butthead is streaming. They don't hold up very well. However, the music videos are not included, it's just the cartoons by themselves. I think that with the videos it might be a better mix and more pleasing to watch, getting the cartoons in little 2 minute doses. New episodes are coming soon and I'm still excited about it despite the fact that the old ones don't seem to be that good. They'll adjust.

At this point I don't remember what's been posted or not, but Tales of the Black Freighter and Under the Hood, two special feature cartoons from Watchmen, are up.

Not being a teenage girl I was surprised at how awesome Veronica Mars is. They added the whole series a few weeks back I think. Party Down got me interested since they share most of the cast. Definitely a new guilty pleasure.

I <3 Kristen Bell

Also screw them for ruining my internet handle I've had since 95

Does Veronica Mars have a cool ending, with the whole mystery arc?

I watched the first few episodes but it didn't quite do it for me. I thought the main story arc was intriguing but the episodes were a little too cute for me.

I'm still on Season 3 atm, but the arc from the first season carries through to the second and is handled very well. I think I felt the same way but had fallen in love with Kristen Bell before I really started to appreciate the character progressions and the style of the show.

Yea the arc(s) are good.

I watched 86% of the series a few years ago. I went back the other day to try to finish up S3 now that it's streaming. Couldn't do it. First of all there's the issue with not knowing exactly where you left off, which always sucks. You don't want to have to repeat an episode, you don't want to remember halfway through an episode that you've already seen it, and you certainly don't want to accidentally skip episodes. So anyway I picked a late S3 episode, fired it up, and turned it off after 15 seconds. I can't see ever going back unless I have a teenage daughter and/or marry Kristen Bell.

veronica mars was a huge guilty pleasure of mine, and is what got me into party down. so funny seeing vinnie (he'll always be vinnie to me) play ron as they're such different characters.

i really enjoyed veronica mars. the various storylines involving the boyfriends got a little frustrating after a while but i thought kirsten bell was fantastic in the role and i enjoy the mystery/crime-solver theme.

'The Chaser' is pure awesome. Great recommendation. Really, really good action film that actually has an excellent plot. Haven't seen it in a while, but I think it goes something like 'an ex police officer turned pimp starts investigating the disappearance of one of his best girls which puts him inadvertantly on the trail of a serial killer.' Think I'm gonna watch it again, soon.

I like 'Girl with the Dragon Tattoo', but it was probably longer than it needed to be (and thus, slower). There were some technology and forensic details that I had a problem with for the time period it's supposed to be taking place. You're probably not missing anything by skipping it.

'Let the Right One In', to me, is more of a drama than a horror film, but it is a very interesting and original take on the vampire. I'm glad I saw it.

Been watching a lot of the FX shock shows from the beginning that I never got to see before, like, 'Nip/Tuck, The Riches, Rescue Me'. Really enjoy those shows.

Oh, and finally started watching 'Prison Break'. Season one is great even though most of you already knew that, but it's new to me, so...

Watched The Damned United last night. It's very good. It's the true story of Brian Clough, a legendary English football manager, but it's not really a sports film, more of a character study. Well acted and paced and light going.
