I felt the same way, but kept going. I'm totally hooked now and I've been powering through the last couple of seasons. I'll probably finish season 4 tonight.

I'm just annoyed that the first few episodes of season 5 are not available On Demand, so I'll need to figure out how I can continue after I watch everything on netflix.

it's better than i expected, 16 episodes into season 1. this is going to take a while.
You can make it slightly easier on yourself by skipping season 2, which suffered greatly from network interference and is barely recognizable as the same show.

Is season 3 any good then? I finished season one a while back, and have yet to start two.

re FNL, not sure I agree with the rec of skipping s2, although it's been awhile since I watched. s1 was definitely the best.

Yeah, when I was looking at the On Demand listings, somehow I thought it was season 5 episodes, but it was just the season 4 episodes I just finished watching. Was very glad to discover that.

I think Breaking Bad is next.

My one complaint about WI is that expired titles disappear from your queue without warning, or being moved to a Saved queue. I find myself monitoring instantwatcher.com constantly to see what's about to go bye-bye.

I've often wondered why titles are rotated in and out of WI. I used to think it was some sort of bandwidth/server issue, but now I'm thinking maybe Netflix is doing it on purpose so as not to destroy their DVD business.

i think it's because the agreements they negotiate with content providers are of the form "you can show X until date Y for Z dollars". both parties presumably want the ability to ask for more/less money as the market changes.

It's available on Netflix DVD.

You might be able to order/rent it at amazon.com VOD section but not sure.

It's quite good if you haven't seen it.

Yeah UK Netflix selection is appalling - it came up with a grand total of 5 movies with Kevin Bacon in them!

+1 on Requiem for a dream, love that movie

Anyone who's into indie/dramedy sort films I've watched a few on netflix that I've enjoyed greatly (movies like Garden State/500 Days of Summer).

My two fav's are 'Palo Alto' and 'Cherry.' Palo Alto is about 4 college freshman who come home for Thanksgiving Break and realize things have changed. Cherry is about a 17 year old college freshman who goes home hoping to score with a 30 year old student and meets her 14 yo daughter who also falls for him (I thought this wud be a bit ridic reading it but it got recommended and they spend less time on that aspect and more on the development of the main character which is well done I think).

I wish there were more movies like these thematically. I watched 'Nearing Grace' which was ok, nude Jordana Brewster is always nice.

edit: If anyone has any rec's along those lines I'd love to hear them, sorry if I'm repeating stuff I haven't really followed the thread

Just noticed that Rock and Roll High School is now on WI. Definitely a classic for fans of 70's punk and cheesy hi school comedies.

Lilyhammer is great, high quality TV. I've watched the first 5 eps this week and it just keeps getting better.

It's like The Sopranos meets Fargo in Norway.
