I really liked the last two shows I watched, Veronica Mars and FNL. Both HS dramas so I guess I like that kind of show.

I'm a TV fish and don't really know what any of the ones I listed are about, just heard they were good. If you have better suggestions for me please post!
Party Down is a quick and funny watch with some Veronica Mars crossover actors, if you haven't already seen it.

So all of this discussion means that if I can stand Lynch (and I think I can) I should watch Twin Peaks, right?

I saw Thor on the same day and it sucks that big "sets" are now just lifeless CGI rather than something tangible. Also saw Dune in Blu which might make a large difference.

2) Feeling that Fire Walk With Me is top tier of movies seems to be standard among Lynch fans. They go gaga for it over in The Lounge. I meant FWWM in that last sentence, not Dune, in case that wasn't clear.

Of course. I don't know if there's been a show since that was as huge a pop culture sensation, so it has mainstream appeal as well (for the first 7-18 episodes at least).

Not sure what's going on with a lot of the comedy central shows on Instant Watch. I noticed a few weeks ago that the ones in my Queue were all expiring soon, then they were still there after that date. This week I noticed they had an expiration date of 5/22 on both InstantWatcher.com and Netflix.

Now today the date has been pushed back to 5/29. So if you plan on watching any comedy central shows I would suggest you do it soon.

just watched "Aura",

it's an argentine film with ricardo darín. i'm pretty sure every movie with ricardo darín is good. if you've seen Nine Queens and liked it you'd definitely like this. it's spanish language with subtitles so if you can handle that i definitely would recommend.

I don't have the link, but Netflix announced a deal with Viacom to start airing shows such as Jersey Shore and Teen Mom, along with Nickelodeon shows like Yo Gabba Gabba.

before party down I had no idea that lizzy caplan could be attractive (having only seen her in mean girls next to a ridiculously hot lindsay lohan)

then I saw her naked on party down (HINT: GO WATCH IT IF YOU HAVENT YET) and now I would so so so so so much rather sleep with her than lindsay lohan

JuntMonkey,
I know lots of TP fans hate FWWM. I don't hate it and think there are some great parts, everything before they get to the town of Twin Peaks is excellent, but it's still a middle of the road Lynch film imo. Clearly below Blue Velvet, Mulholland Dr., Lost Highway, The Straight Story, Eraserhead, etc.

I run from the room whenever my kids put this show on, which thankfully is a rare occurrence.

Can't remember if it was posted here or not but Netflix also recently signed a deal with Miramax for streaming. They will rotate a batch of movies in and out every few months.

It gets worse before it gets better though. They like gradually reduce the laugh track use over the course of Season 1 to the point where it only happens once or twice an episode, which to me is even more weird and annoying than using it a lot.

Better to have not watched it, imo. Then I could actually go back and rewatch the first 5 seasons that I bought on DVD instead of thinking it a complete waste of time.

Same season. Same night. Back to back. Pretty darn good show, but NBC is the worst at marketing dramas. Seriously, if it isn't 'Law & Order' or a spinoff it doesn't stand a chance.

and the action sequences are usually fantastic.
As a grown man, I was never going to recommend this to another grown man, but I watched most of the first season and thought it was intriguing and absolutely hilarious at times. It is sooooo much better than the movie, that M. Night Shyamalan should be so embarassed he should think about killing himself. Definitely enjoyed 'The Last Airbender'.

It started well enough. Sure the selection wasn't as good as the US but they were adding new titles at a good pace. The last couple of months have been terrible though. Very few new movies or television series. It still has enough to make it worth my 8 bucks but I'm disappointed.

Often times new releases don't get listed as such and they get buried. I use this site to keep up with new titles.

I watched Sports Night in 2001 on dvd and thought it was tremendous and original. I'm rewatching it now on Instant and it really seems dated. The new generation of sitcoms like 30 Rock and Community really put this to shame.
