Same here. I'll just wait for the free month/s when I buy a new iphone in a few years.

Loved Drops of God

Apple has really been hitting it out of the park with their shows. Or at least the ones I’ve chosen to watch. Every show I’ve started hasn’t been a chore to finish, except Ted Lasso which I haven’t finished but acknowledge js a great show. Just finished Crowded Room which was a bit disturbing in the beginning but glad I stuck with it. Really good show.

Of the ones I’ve watched I’d rank them in this order, but none are bad:

1. Drops of God
2. Slow Horses
3. Blackbird
4. Crowded Room
5. Shantaram
6. Tehran
7. Silo

Saw 3 movies recently: Origin of Evil, Pain Hustlers, and No Hard Feelings. I'm surprised that Jennifer Lawrence allowed herself to do this movie, because it so bad. There are plenty of classic '80s movies in the genre that are really good, so how does Lawrence get involved without a great script? I have no idea, weird.

I thought Pain Hustlers would be good because of Emily Blunt, who I love. It wasn't bad at all, but not really worth watching. I saw Dope Sick recently, and I was surprised at how awesome it was.

Origin of Evil was definitely worth it. A few unrealistic things annoyed me, but overall it was a good flick.

Started Drops of God, loving it so far, thanks to everyone who mentioned it.

Payback on Britbox/Amazon is fairly solid 4 of 6 eps out so far. Murder/money laundering drama if that's your thing.

Wow, I just found a new show I hadn't heard of on Netflix. It's called Bodies, and is a limited series - a sci-fi/murder mystery/thriller kind of thing. Watched the first two and it is outstanding. It's based on a graphic novel, I think.

The same body is found in the same alleyway in London in 1890 - and then in 1941, 2023, and 2056. And we follow the eras' respective detectives trying to figure out who it is and what's going on. Has a sort of Peripheral feel to it - the HBO show starring Chloe Grace Moretz - including having a catastrophic happening in London that changes the government.

check it out.

Finally getting around to watching Atlanta and loving it. One of those where you just keep hitting "next episode" even though you have **** you ought to be doing instead.

Drops of God is definitely the best show on Apple within the last year. Apple advertised it terribly, and their layout sucks for navigating. I had no idea that show even existed until I saw it mentioned in this thread. That and Black Bird, Defending Jacob, The Crowded Room are their best works so far.

Really enjoyed this show - the highs are so good you can forgive some of the lesser episodes and overall its a masterpiece. Ranked #9 on Rolling Stone/Alan Sepinwall's 100 greatest TV shows of all time and was one of only two in the top twenty I hadn't seen (The Leftovers)

Does this mean you haven't watched Severance? It's a flagship show for Apple+. Like, I have trouble imagining watching something called "Shantaram" without watching Severance first.

Lawrence is pretty much done as a box office draw, so may as well take what she can get.

I didn't realize how disconnected from the Oscars I was until last night. Watched CODA on Apple and it was really great. Many belly laugh moments for me. Looked it up after...it won 3 Oscars, including Best Picture, and I'd never heard of it. I guess yay me for avoiding the media as completely as I'd intended.

Why people like pretentious awards shows is beyond me.

I did enjoy Rickey Gervais eviscerating Hollywood at whatever awards show he was hosting.
