I’ve watched seasons 2 and 3 twice, once when aired and again in a pandemic binge. I’ve watched season 1 at least 6 times. It’s still great!

I've watched all 5 seasons of the wire 4 times. But season 3 is the GOAT of all shows.

The first two episodes of Season 2 of The Afterparty on Apple is tonight.

Season 2 of Foundation is Thursday, I never watch season 1 because of mixed reviews. Lots of people like it and others hate it.

The Wire s3-4 scoffs at you. TDs1 is a full notch below.

S3 is an A+ GOAT season,

but,

S4 is A+++.

I think I'm up to 4-5x myself.


Needless to say you can't really argue against either.

I never made it past Ep 1 or 2 of The AfterParty. I am looking forward to Foundation.

I actually canceled Apple TV+ a week or two ago after about a year to watch The Bear on Hulu (what a wasteland otherwise) so I signed back up to ATV+ and got 3 free months!

ATV+ is easily the best bang for your buck value for a 2nd or 3rd streamer/channel IMO.

I liked season 1 of After Party. That was a great cast. This one is awful. It might get better and I’ll stick around for a bit but as a whole, this season is terrible so far.

Jury Duty was good, just surprised it's on the list. Is The Bear really a comedy? I can't remember laughing.

I'm 4 or 5 episodes into The Bear(S1) and have laughed more during this show than any in a while. Tbf, I don't watch many comedies/sitcoms, I've never seen anything else on the comedy list besides Barry.

Changed my mind on After Party. I was about 1/2 way through ep1 of season 2 when I posted above. Then there was a throwaway scene with Aniq and a waiter and rage-quit. I barely cracked a smile before that.

It really was pretty great! Nice to see a doc that’s actually nice and fun to watch. I remember watching it when it first came out but wasn’t old enough to know how freaking hot Ice was lol

Drops of God is ****ing awesome. Finally got around to watching it.

Agreed, and thought it got progressively better throughout the series.

Drops of God is in my favorite genre, so I feel I should have loved it. But I found it just OK. I didn't really end up caring about most of the characters. The Japanese family was far more interesting than any of the whites, but nobody seemed very well developed to me. The plot was decent.

The whole wine identification thing was cool in a way but required enormous suspension of disbelief. It's not something that bothered me, per se. Just saying. Of course, I'm not part of that world. Maybe that type of stuff is possible. But I highly doubt it.

I'm into Succession now and it's pretty good so far. I'd put it in the B+ range, with Drops of God around a B- for reference. The nice thing about Succession is that it seems to be getting more interesting as it goes (I'm into the beginning of S2 now) and there's a lot of different ways it could go. Also, I heard a lot about some episode - probably in S4? - being called the best single episode of any show, ever?? Looking forward to whichever that one is.

Finished the first season of Silo and loved it. Not sure I can wait for the next season so might have to get into the audiobooks which I've heard are very good.

The studios offered actors a few when the get “scanned” for AI, but the the studios own their likeness forever after lol.

Why would the actors agree to that?? It’d be comical if it wasn’t so evil.

This strike is huge and will determine the entertainment industry for the next hundred years.

Studios just itching to go back to the “good ol’ days” of actor stables. Bunch of swine.

Latest episode of Hijack was terrible. May give it one more episode but that was something out of a network tv C level show.

I am almost done with Ep2 and also in for the ride.

Really? I looked yesterday and see 5.8 only on IMDB and 2 reviews saying Badly written, forgettable, unwatchable rubbish.

And Reelgood has 5 ratings, 2 Loved, 0 Liked and 3 disliked.

I didn't check the reviews, I just like mysteries. It will probably end up sucking overall but there isn't much more available for me to binge on Max right now other than The White Lotus Se2 but that started off so slow that I lost interest.

Looked interesting but reviews were bad so I skipped it. I may have to give it a shot.

Warrior S3 is great. For anyone with Max that hasn’t watched yet, it’s a must watch.
