Tonight’s episode of Dave is really top notch. You can watch it as a stand alone episode.

Loved season 1 of this show. Season 2 was quite bad. Overall season 3 has been inconsistent, but tonight’s episode is great.

Does anyone here watch any anime? I don't know much about it, but I was listening to a UFC fighter that recommended some shows. He mentioned Attack on Titan, Kengan Ashura and Death Note. Does anyone have any opinions on these?

Deathnote is the standard for pretty easy to transiton into anime, the first 10 eps are maybe the top 1-3% of anime in terms of entertainment

AoT is very very good as well, its been 5+ seasons spread across 15 years and the anime is almost done,

if youre new to anime I think Deathnote is the de facto best start for most people. its considered one of the best anime for anime noobs and first time watchers. and also cyberpunk on netflix is also a good starting spot after that you can kinda dip into some others since there are a ton of diff branches and animes to look into.

deathnote is only 30 eps long and cyber is 10 both tell complete story within those short amt of eps which is rare in anime.

if you have more questions feel free to ask, im no anime expert since I think a lot of them are tough for me to get into (demon slyer looking at you)but I have watched my fair share and am very picky

OK thanks man, I'll let you know if I have anymore questions. I'll check out those titles I mentioned above as well as Cyberpunk. All of these seem to get pretty high ratings (8.0 and above when I looked them up on IMDB.

The full extent of my anime experience mainly comes from watching Robotech. My uncle was into it when I was a kid, so I started following along. I remember there was some good action and animation when watching that, which really made me get into the toys. But I also remember, there were some cheesy romance plot lines that were a bit off putting, and possibly related to it being more of a anime/Japanese show. When I got a bit older, I checked out some Fatal Fury anime movies, based on the video game. So there is definitely alot for me to take in.

yeah most animes are slow starters but cybr and deathnote are fast af, if by end of ep 3 you aren't digging deathnote you wont like it, same with cyber punk

a lot of animes start on slower end. monster is one of the best most well written anime but its a super super slow burn slog even tho its highly rated, .. if you legit strongly dislike deathnote AND cyberpunk ,those two, then I don't know if anime is for you which may seem like a bold statement.

for those lurking and saying why not demon slayer.. which is what pretty much most anime fans would say has been the best anime the last 2 years or so.. I cant get into it due to its way way more shoneny than I expected it to be, at least first half of season 1 even tho last 4 ep is where the anime really starts

I've watched a little but Death Note and AoT I really got into.

Death note starts out amazing but really feel off near the end. Just became "I know that you knew that so did this" to the reply of "Ah but I knew you knew that I knew so did this" over and over for the last 10eps.

On the other hand Attack on Titian is an absolute masterpiece imo. It starts off as just this cool show with people using interesting equipment to destroy these massive monsters but as the story really begins to come together it's more about the issue of race, ethnicity, the futility of war and so much more.

Another one to add to the list is Cowboy Bebop. Like Deathnote it's a great introduction to anime but overall is much better imo

I haven’t watched the most recent episode but S3 has been better than S1.

Samurai Champloo is a great anime, only 26 episodes. Very similar in style to Cowboy Bebop.

The Netflix Castlevania show is fantastic.

I find 99% of anime to be loud annoying and insufferable. Death Note was good but longer than it needed to be.

There's two animes that I've really liked and watched multiple times: Texhnolyze and Serial Experiments Lain. They're both on youtube:

Watched the first one. Really weird show but I dig it for the most part. Always nice to see Pesci and he was quite enjoyable.

cool episode of 20/20 on ABC tonight about the recent dead bodies found at Lake Mead, one being the body in the barrel. A lot of Vegas mob history and Lake Mead history. It re-airs on Hulu tomorrow.

I have never been but wouldn't want to be swimming with dozens of dead bodies from decades ago. lol

I watched six short episodes of that new auction show. It had a very 'Pawn Stars' copy vibe to it. Guess that makes sense as that show was very successful and these people are also trying to either buy or sell other people's stuff.

It was enjoyable but probably prefer 'Pawn Stars' overall. Still was interesting to see the sort of memorabilia they put on the market and what it goes for out there.

These shows are so staged I don't think any information can be gleaned from them.

Fair and it is sort of obvious when the main CEO of the auction company takes a private yet with his son to take him to open 'unopened pokemon boxes' with Logan Paul yet in the video of the series we see very limited media of that actually happening on camera. No offense to his son but he came off of kind of a spoiled brat like in the limited frames we did see and I imagine the other footage wasn't worth it to include in netflix show. The CEO's daughter also came off as entitled and spoiled in the show. I don't really care though as I realize it's probably difficult to come from money and then have this camera thrown in your face for a Netflix show so I forgive them for acting like they did but at the same time the show does really feel staged and/or faked in some or many ways.

I'm re-watching the first episode now as I wasn't expecting much and didn't pay attention the first time. I wanted to pick up anything I missed prior to watching subsequent episodes. I find it hilarious.

Harrelson is good, but so is the guy who plays G Gordon Liddy. Of course that ****er was so weird that the role practically plays itself. I feel a little guilty about how much I'm looking forward to the rest of the series.

It came off as a 6 episode ad for Goldin. Having said that I watched it all and it spurred me to look at a bunch of stuff I have that I haven't looked at in years.

I resubscribed for this and the wine show. Haven’t started either but realized MLB big innings is included with applevtv on weekdays and that is more than worth the sub.

Netflix is pretty much garbage. I don’t know I keep my subscription.
