Daisy and The Six is excellent 3 episodes in. I never saw a trailer but figured it was going to be a comedy sort of like American Vandal but not as goofy. It’s most certainly a drama. But a great one so far.

Summoning salt videos are awesome. This one is great!
Can't believe I watched this entire video and then the History of Metroid speedruns, too. Of all the interesting, seemingly totally pointless ways to spend your time, speedrunning is right up there at the top of the list. The dedication and obsession these guys must have is mindblowing.
The vid quoted above explains that there are several RNG events in SMB 3 that are totally out of a speedrunner's control that can (and often do) ruin an entire run after nearly an hour of flawless gaming. To deal with that type of thing over and over and over for months and years on end to shave mere seconds off of your time.... WOW.

I really had high expectations based on some of the comments here. I'm 3 episodes in and it's average at best for me because the original songs SUCK. It's just not believable to me that any of these songs could ever be hits. The wife roped me into watching American Idol (which I have to admit is really good so far) and there was a young kid on doing an original song that he wrote. As he was performing I was thinking this is better than anything on DJ&T6. As I was thinking this my wife blurted out: "this is better than any song on Daisy Jones". I laughed and told her I was thinking the exact same thing.
At first, I was a little worried about the music too. But I think what they did was make it average in the beginning, because that's what happens with a new band starting out. Then as it goes on, the music gets better. I think it's pretty believable, once you move past the first few episodes. They had some pretty great songwriters involved like Jackson Browne to write all the music. I read a review at Hollywood Reporter ( I like this site because they trash everything that isn't great, so it's easy to find what's good to watch) and they had some valid criticisms of some aspects of the show. But overall, this series is pretty exceptional.

Put together a few deeper cuts from some of the likes of JB, Linda Ronstadt etc and they could have a monster catalogue to work from.
As it is, I try to pretend they are singing "Rumors"

Yeah, this has given off heavy Fleetwood Mac vibes from the beginning.
I was pretty surprised (and pleased) to see Acapulco on Apply TV getting a 3rd season. While it took a little while to warm up to it, I think it's one of the better shows on Apple, even though it doesn't even rank in the top 15 most popular. It's a heartwarming comedy set in the '80s, similar to Red Oaks. Compared to Shrinking, which I quit after 4 eps, Acapulco is gold.
Just finished ep 9 of Drive to Survive s5. You know how sometimes there's a successful guy who's clearly a wanker but you can't help but like them anyway? Christian Horner is such a bellend that he shoots right through that category and becomes even more detestable because you know you'd be susceptible to liking a guy who who was like him but a bit less of a wank.

i like Christian, excellent speaker, knows how to build and lead a winning team.
Think he gets so much air time cause his segments are more entertaining than the others.

Episode 6 felt like it was straight out of a Rumors documentary.
The country's most experienced martial artists, bladesmiths and knife experts stab, slice and chop their way through some of the most daunting obstacles they have ever seen. Competitors put their skills to the test as they slice through flying watermelons, hack through giant ice blocks, and slice various ropes, tubes, metals, and other objects
40 minute episodes, occasional use of the 10 second skip required.
10% unintentional comedy, 40% where did they get these people, 50% childlike glee at pure destruction. Who knew Man's toughest obstacle could be a chicken?
The movie "Duck Soup" is on Amazon Prime now. Yeah it's from the 30's and some of the humor is dated but I was still laughing through a lot of it. Harpo's troll game is tight.
The new animated show "Digman!" has potential after the premiere tonight. I don't like many animated shows. It's on Comedy Central after the new South Park.
