The Recruit is much better than it should be given what looks like a USA network level budget.
IMO not really in the same genre as Jack Ryan. More like The Flight Attendant or Burn notice.
It will probably get cancelled given its complete lack of promotion, but they should bring it back for a second season and give it enough of a budget not to shoot so much on greenscreen.
Yah I know she's just playing a role, and she does a good job at that role, but I just don't wanna watch it.
She's so good at that role it makes me think she's just as insufferable in real life. Even her 3 minute post-episode interview where they talk about the show made me cringe
Finished "The Wire". Easily a top show of all time for me now. Thought the ending montage was great. Last season was definitely a drop off though overall. Season 3 was probably my favorite season. Thought the idea of Hamsterdam was wild and loved the part where Rawls found out Bunny had effectively legalized drugs in a certain part of the city. The fallout into season 4 was great too.
Anyone seen the new Witcher miniseries, Blood Origin? Seen very mixed reviews from critics, while the fan base seem to be mostly shitting on it as they're pissed about the whole Henry Cavill/writers fiasco in the original.

From what I could tell they went into it with the primary goal of making sure the right genders/ethnicities looked good and the right ones looked bad. Very hard to write an interesting story with that restriction when the audience can pretty much tell who's going to 'win' every conflict before they're resolved.
I watched all 5 episodes of Treason on Netflix. It sucks.
I thought it was fine for what it was. Something entertaining enough to watch when I don't have anything else, but nothing I'm going to tell someone they're missing out on if they don't watch.
Finale of Fleishman is in Trouble was good, Lizzy Caplan was great.
Finally started watching "Line of Duty" that has been on my list for a long time. I am into season 2 and it's as good as advertised. 1st five seasons are on Hulu and season 6 is on Amazon Prime. They are short seasons.
We barely lasted 1 hour on this one last night - among the worst movies I've seen recently. Which is a shame cause I remember seeing the first one at the pictures and it was really good.
