You can watch 1 hour for every dollar/month your subscription is and it doesn't affect your queued/shipped movies at all. Minuses are that you have to be running Windows and Internet Explorer, but the quality is great! I have a garbage laptop, but it looks the same as a DVD to me and it hasn't skipped/paused/hiccuped once so far.
Lol, why pay when the site I use has it all and is all free.

Ahhh yeah ok, the whole tricking them up part would be cool. "You don't wanna go down for this chump!" kind of dialogue would be cool. I read it more as joe the snitch comes in and goes "Yeah, that was *name*".

So what're you going to do with your infractions or time off from 2p2?

Saw Half Nelson after the endorsement a few days ago. Good film, worth seeing imo.

Took awhile but got through Crips and Bloods: Made In America. It's pretty good even if it mostly covers a lot of stuff you probably already know. Specifically, the recap of the Watts riots was good and I legit lol'ed at some of the commentary about it (you'd have to see it to understand). Would recommend.

Glad you liked it. Without giving away any specific spoilers, what I love about this movie is that it is pretty much the exact opposite of the rash of feel-good white person moves into an urban neighborhood and gosh darn it proves we are all the same at heart type of movies that have become a plague in Hollywood over the last decade or so.

Great film. Another one of those that does not have one of your typical Hollywood endings.

Spoiler:
When the Americans are plowing over Canadians, running through them, pushing them, knocking them over, every Canadian says "i'm sorry! I'm sorry!" haha

I saw this based on your reco. I'm not even sure if this should be classified as a documentary. The beginning was pretty good, but after they actually start getting into the gangs, it basically turns into "black people are oppressed, therefore they join gangs".

I didn't like it, but I've seen worse I suppose.

Agree. There were a lot of c'mon WTF moments yet it also managed to freak the hell out of me where most of those movies don't.

Well, I didn't think it was fantastic, but it was worth the watch. At least for me, but then again I am far more interested in stories of downtrodden and poverty than the rich and famous so maybe that has something to do with it.

Bored last night and looking for a thriller, I saw Swimming Pool. I'm not sure I could recommend it. It was a very attractive film - most of the story takes place at a French Villa, and one of the two main characters is a hot young chick who spends a large part of the film topless - but it has an intentionally ambiguous ending which ends up with more questions than answers. I actually spent some time online looking at various interpretations. It's also a very slow developing film. Curious if anyone else has seen it and what they think.

I saw Swimming Pool years ago when it came out and had almost the exact same evaluation as you fwiw, which isn't all that helpful I suppose lol. The girl was really hot though and I speak French so that was cool.

Canadian Netflix had "Raw" by Eddie Murphy. I watched some today, amazing what he got away with back in the 80s. Need to track down "Delirious." Murphy was hilarious up until he started doing family movies =(

Just noticed they have My So Called Life on here. Use to love this show when I was in high school and I think it captures what its like to be in high school well. Not as entertaining as it was back then but still pretty good.

I enjoy this show. Wade can catch some massive fish. It is remarkable how he can track down locations to visit to possibly catch a gigantic fish (many times not even knowing what species it may be beyond an educated guess) and then go and do it. He's also a good story teller and the show is informative.

Most of the places he visits are also very interesting. The town in South Africa where the people freely swam in a lake and river system filled with bull sharks (Wade caught one easily big enough to kill a man, I think 8 ft., 500 lbs) was a little bizarre. The trips to India and the Congo were also interesting.

+1, great show.

I just tried to watch All the Pretty Horses because I read the book just recently; not a big fan of the movie. Seemed to slow.

I watched Monsters as well and it held my attention but I was waiting for some kind of payoff at the end. I thought it was shot well but the dialog was weak (after reading about the film it appears most was add-libbed and not scripted line for line, just scene for scene) but it missed the mark.

6/10
