Yeah, I couldn't make it too far into Freakonomics either. The stupid animations and actor sequences gave it the feel of a VHS a ninth grade teacher would show their class when too lazy to come up with with something actually instructive.
I watched Dumb & Dumber last night. It's actually the unrated version which I don't think I saw until then and I've seen the movie at least 50x. There was quite a few scenes I never saw before.
I would recommend anyone who has never seen the unrated version to check it out.
Now that you mention it, it was a bit darker (strange scenes) the extended hot tub scene and the bathroom scene. I thought there was something different about it put I couldn't put my finger on it.
Fat Head
Exit Through the Gift Shop
Crips and Bloods: Made in America
SNL: Chris Farley
Full Metal Jacket
Happy Gilmore
The Tudors
The Pillars of the Earth
Chappelle's
watched Crimal last night. Nothing too great, kind of easy to figure out what the twist was going to be, and the end sequence was kind of dumb, but it did hold my attention to the end.
Plus, Maggie Gyllenhaal was surprisingly hot in it.
I tend to stay out of this thread because of the inferior, laughable Canadian version.
They have added a bunch of cool stuff lately though! Notably: Community S1 and all of Arrested Development. I'm one of few that hasn't seen all of AD, I have seen the odd episode here and there, I'll def zip through that series.
They also added Angel, I liked that show, will certainly rewatch.
They added a bunch of decent catalogue titles I'm going to revisit: Drop Zone (Wesley Snipes ftw!) Blue Chips "This class is culturally biased." No **** Shaq! Forgot what else but I browsed the new releases last night for a few and was excited to see some good stuff on there.
I see 8mm is available now. I haven't seen this in forever but I remember it being pretty entertaining.
This movie is way messed up if it's the one with Nicholas Cage.

I was wondering the same thing when I watched it. I was like "I don't remember this" when watching certain parts. I'm glad to rewatch the whole thing now (got like half way and fell asleep). I started to wonder when it said it was 110 minutes too.
Anyone watch the series Kidnapped....NF's best guess for me is 4.4, which is about the highest that anything has been rated and I have never heard of the TV series.

Enjoying the doc "Who is Harry Nilsson (and why is everybody talking about him?)"
Just saw this, agree it was quite good. Surprised they managed to milk nearly two hours chronicling the life of Harry Nilsson but it didn't seem to drag at all. I would have liked more debauchery stories though, seems like they only skimmed the surface of that so as not to tarnish his image.
Anyone seen Black Snake Moan? It looks like its #2 on the instantwatcher most popular list. RT ratings look somewhat low (not that this particularly matters) but I remember wanting to see this.
