Just watch episode 4 of Black Summer.

I was into the first 3 episodes, but assumed after introducing all the characters things would start happening. Instead I get a bad episode of the walking dead.

Tell me if I should quit this show or not.

Had never seen Midnight Run before and watched it last night. Great movie.

Make sure to watch the pre HBO, web stuff too. It may be posted as S1. I haven't rewatched watched in a while so I'm not sure, lots of backstory for some of the customers.

season 4 of Atypical was good and much better than previous ones. I thought they ended it well and JJL wasn't as cringey and awful as previous seasons.

Season 2 of Mythic Quest (apple TV) was ****ing excellent, better than the first season (which was also good)

reminder that Ted Lasso season 2 just started (apple TV), but they are doing that one ep a week bullshit, so I'm waiting to they are all out. Season 1 is delightful if you have never watched it

Also, watched "The Hunt" on HBO. I'd never heard of it and reading it's description I thought it might be a cheesy knockoff of "The Running Man" or something. Threw it on as a late night watch. Basically the concept has been tried before in many other movies but this one I thought was quite decent. Definitely a dark comedy of sorts on the left wing/right wing stereotypical view points in the US. It's worth a watch. The protagonist is quite fun.

The Hunt is incredibly fun. I think it’s rotten tomatoes score is too low because it does such a good job making fun of both liberals and conservatives.

100 foot wave docuseries on hbo/hbo max is a fun watch. Big wave surfing. Get gnarly ��

Glad to read this. I've come back to Atypical recently after watching it quite a while ago. I know I loved the first season and probably the second, too, but I noticed a huge drop in quality somewhere after that. I last watched S4E4 and was gonna quit - but I'll give it another shot now.

I can't explain exactly, but it just started sucking. S4E4 had that storyline where Paige wanted to prove herself to Casey by finding a dandelion and a live pig and it just made no ****ing sense at all - but that's only part of it. Sam was legendary in the beginning of Atypical, but somewhere along the way the magic kinda died and now he's just an annoying douche. The characters seem somewhat flat now and I've noticed a lot of lazy writing that led to situations in which characters acted in ways that they simply wouldn't.

Well, I guess I did end up explaining. But I have hopes that it picks back up now by the end.

Almost forgot how awesome this series was. Imagine this in this streaming age. This would be better than GoT. This was GoT before GoT. Peak TV indeed.

hmm, if you are hating it by e4 I dunno how much better it gets. I really liked the first season and remember enjoying the second, but I never could manage a solid rewatch because JJL was just so bad I couldn't take it, so I'm mostly judging 4 based on how disapointed I was with 3 (I think I almost stopped watching it if I remember right) and the fact that it revolves mostly around casey and sam, which are the characters that I enjoyed from the first two seasons

How do those who have watched all of The Expanse rate the seasons? I just finished S2 - it's pretty good, but the plot armor so many characters have is a real annoyance for me. Later seasons better or worse overall? (No - don't tell me who dies!)

It's a mixed bag; the quality of the seasons is quite uneven. Overall, 3-5 are all better than 1, not all of those are better than or equal to 2, I'll leave it a surprise which one(s). I don't think the show gets much better than s2 regardless so you might want to jump ship (no pun intended).

Is Dave worth a watch? What about Dave versus Atlanta?
