Travellers turned out to be pretty darn good There are some obvious plot holes, as one can imagine there would be in a time travel series without ruining the flow of the narrative. Strongly recommend and looking forward to S4 in December.

Hummm, you are right. That link was recent enough, posted back in March, but stands alone in confirming S4, thus making it a rogue traveller lost in time...
Spoiler:
I know, I know, an easy and dumb pun

isn't the lead supposed to be irritating? finale is probably the best episode.

I'm really enjoying Hacks...Jean Smart is always great, and the young bi-sexual chick is damn good, too.

Army Of the Dead was laughably bad. Worst movie of the year, and that includes Justice League.

Mare of Eastown was a real happy fest, huh? What a downer. But damn good...Julianne Nicholson should get some awards love for this...she's been great but basically unnoticed for such a long time.

HBO shows used to rarely disappoint. their limited series are usually absolute bang on. I was debating to start perry mason or not.

Loudermilk on AMAZON PRIME has some hilarious dialogue. The show is decent although there are some holes in it. Loudermilk stars Ron Livingston (Office Space). His character is a recovering alcoholic/drug addict and he leads a knock off AA recovery group. If you don’t like the first few episodes then skip it. 6.5/10.

Loved (loved!) Perry Mason, well worth the time to watch, hoping for another season.

Thank you for this recommendation.
I've thoroughly enjoyed. 22 minute episodes. 3 seasons, 10 episodes each.
Cheers meets Midnight Caller meets No Reservations.
Give it a couple episodes.

We'll see, someone else described it as No Reservations meets something else, which may have screwed up my expectations. It's clearly scripted, and the first episode was dedicated to establishing obvious tropes, so it was a let down.

It has a sitcom like structure, (Cheers) but doesn't have the sitcom jokes (I'm sure many get lost in translation). Show is about the type of people awake in the Midnight to dawn hours. And I find it an interesting peek into Japanese food and culture.

Shadow and Bone - new fantasy drama developed from a YA market book series. unfortunately it's not very good due to uneven writing (first half is ok, but the second half is garbage) and poor quality acting (most of the actors are young, so not really their fault), but the production design and costuming is well done and the world building is solid. it's fun to look at. was expecting it to be garbage, but it's only just kinda bad.

Agree with this evaluation. The best character was the real bad ass, bad guy that only showed up in the first episode or two and was gone. I expect he shows up in future seasons if there are any. But yeah, it wasn't that great.

6 Succession 116
7 Mad Men 111
8 Justified 107.5
9 True Detective 96
10 Rick and Morty 93

This is what we came up with even tho txdome argued the whole time about BCS and Succession.
I ended up watching all of Justified and now 25.5/28 episodes of The Leftovers (will be finishing soon) because of the thread that culminated in this list. If I could do it all over again, Justified would definitely go in my own list somewhere around the middle (maybe higher if most of s1 wasn't as meh), while I'd leave The Leftovers out, unless the last two and a half episodes really blow me away. The Leftovers peaked very early into s2; I ended up being pretty disappointed in the show since then given it was on pace to be elite and fell short imo. Still very good, just not as good as I expected based on all of the hype on here over the years. I had actually watched the first two episodes during the original airing and stopped and then decided to give it another try a few weeks ago, still very glad that I did as it gets way better after the first few eps.

I've also watched the first two seasons of Mr. Inbetween since then and would probably put it in my top group of honorable mentions, along with The Leftovers.

In other news, Carrie C00n (lol 2p2 censoring) is an amazing freaking actress and other than all of the shared actors/actresses on BB/BCS I'm not surprised she is the only performer I can think of who has a prominent role in two of the shows on OOTV's list. Her performance, some of the dark humor, and the music (other than some of the theme music choices post-s1) are the best parts of The Leftovers.

Also, not hating, but I've lived in the USA all of my life and I've never met anyone who has an accent remotely similar to Matt Jamison's. Doesn't really bother me but it was a bit distracting.

Christopher Eccleston is an English actor so it's probably just that he doesn't do the accent very well.

Whenever is see a British actor playing an American role i immediately wonder if their attempt at the accent is any good, and I always lean towards not good maybe just because I know beforehand they're not American so I'm biased from the outset.
