I mean no offense. but ive heard A LOT Of people say this on the internet.

legit the only ****ing movie ANYONE can legitimately say that about is millers mad max fury road. that's it. THAT MOVIE is legit made for theatres with how it was shot, orchestrated/choreagrpahed, paced and sound. no other movie has come close to being in the "must be seen in movie theater setting" and prolly wont for awhile

Yeah, was just thinking of Blade Runner 2049 upon reading his post. Add Gravity and Avatar also to GOAT cinema viewings.

the pleasure,

I saw Fury Road three times in theaters. Don't be so close-minded. Villeneuve knows what he's doing.

Sincerely,
jish

A little older but Gladiator is one of my all time favorite theater experiences.

I haven't set one up, but can't a home theater system surpass an actual theater? Like if you calculate the perfect distance to sit from the screen based on size, aren't there only maybe 20 seats or so in the middle that are in that range where you can always have it at home?

If you put an actual IMAX screen in your house, sure.

I enjoy both, but 20 seats is way too many unless you are balling.

Is "You" worth watching? I got to about 10 minutes into episode 2 of season 1 and went back to find something else to watch.

I did watch the 4 part series "Billion Dollar Code" about zee Germans that created something and then Google may or may not have done something sinister. Pretty good.

"You" is one of my favorites. Just finished S3 already and loved it. It has a Dexter TV show vibe to it. The lead character, Joe, picks out a woman (You) who he thinks is especially meant for him to love. He does horrible things in the search of finding, attaining, keeping, and protecting that woman (You). See, it's a modern obsessed love story. The psychological dialogue where he justifies all his actions is A plus. Also fun to see what tricks he uses to almost get away with every crime he commits. Not absolutely necessary but, newcomers should probably start with S1. But it's not for everybody.

I bailed on "You" halfway through season 2. Season 3 has been getting pretty good reviews, so I'm on the fence about watching it.

I'd love to see Dune in the theater... but I'm actually worried about Covid, that's like the worst-case environment for it. I'm fully vaxxed, no booster (yet), and live with vaccine-ineligible people. It's a small chance, but if I got or spread Covid because I wanted to see Dune in a theater when I could just watch it at home, I'd feel absolutely awful. That also means, given the current state of things, I may never feel comfortable sitting in a movie theater ever again. Blows.

“You” isn’t something I thought I’d like but I was bored. The dark comedy won me over and the lead woman in season 1 really did it for me lol

Now I just enjoy the insanity of it.

You're posting online while 30 minutes into watching a movie. I think this is more of an issue with your ability to concentrate, than it is a problem of missing context.

Book is great though, highly recommend. I've read it 5-6 times, finished another reread earlier this week. Audiobook is also stellar if you're into that sort of thing.
