Finished Season 1 of StartUp. Wow, it kept getting better. It has a Fargo type feel to it, especially with Martin Freeman in it and his role.

Current watching startup, most way thru s1, good not great, getting tired of Martin Freeman just yelling at everyone about something nearly all the time.

My fave Cazale story is he's doing a play in Central Park in 1976 and he tells Pacino that his new girlfriend is the greatest actress he's ever seen, you gotta come see her, she's amazing!

Pacino's like, uhhhh, sure buddy and goes to the play. Knowing that John's lovestruck heart is talking and not his knowledge of acting talent.

He watches the play and is dumbfounded.

Meets them backstage and Cazale introduces him to
Spoiler:
Meryl Streep
.

Terminator 2 is the best sequel ever. Let's not skip that.

Blade Runner 2049. I say this as someone who reveres the original. I wouldn't necessarily say Blade Runner 2049 is better, although gun to my head I think that it probably is, but it should certainly be considered one of the finest sequels ever made, if it can properly be called a sequel.

Also, as an aside since this is a different discussion, Alien is better than Aliens, without question imo. I watched both in the last few months. Aliens is definitely a great sequel, though.

Watched the first couple of episodes of Jupiter's Legacy on Netflix. Not bad so far, an interesting take into a superhero universe.

I may give it another shot, but I instantly gave up after the first episode. I was excited for a show with Martin Freeman and Adam Brody, but the all around quality seemed pretty low in the first episode.

I watched them both(having never seen the original) when 2049 was in theaters and IMO it wasn't close. 2049 didn't drag as much to me despite the longer runtime.

kinda feel like T2 & Aliens aren't really sequels, given the genre shifts from horror to action in each case. maybe that's not a fair assessment tho.

Just stumbled across Act of Valor

I think it’s a well done movie about navy seal operations, it surprised me how much technology and equipment was on display

I’m wondering why I never heard of this, anyone else see this?

Heard Ridley Scott went in to pitch the sequel to Alien and just grabbed a marker, added an S to the end of Alien, and then drew a vertical line through the S making a dollar sign. Auto-greenlit.
