Without Remorse on Prime sucks.
The Mosquito Coast on Apple is good. 1st 2 out today then 1 per week.

The Serpent was very good imo. I'll put it in the tier just below that top tier that belongs to shows like Mad Men and The Wire.

Also just watched Christopher Nolan's Insomnia. Not sure if it's on any streaming services, but it's a fantastic watch, as well. I don't think I've seen a Nolan film I didn't like.

Things Heard & Seen is an amazingly bad horror movie on Netflix, starring Amanda Seyfried. It's astounding what a mess it is. It literally makes no sense.

She moves into a NY farmhouse with her family and immediately starts seeing ghosts ****, with no atmosphere or anything, and just happens to have a town full of ghost experts who come over and tell her exactly what's happening...all the while, her husband is a lying douchebag and they have issues.

I could not believe how completely wrong everything in this movie was.

Yea this. First two seasons (which I believe was released on Netflix as one season) are def worth watching. No reason to watch after that that

I'm about half way through the first episode of Mare of Easttown and I am going to write the WGA to nuke whoever wrote this episode.

Should I keep going?

edit: search tool Dom says yes. The dialogue is grating.

HBOMax is producing the comedy series Our Flag Means Death about the life of Stede Bonnet, the plantation aristocrat who wanted to be a pirate. Rhys Darby is the lead as Bonnet and Taika Waititi was just cast as Blackbeard.

For those who aren't familiar with the history, Stede Bonnet's life story is a pretty hilarious tale of unfortunate events. It's definitely ripe for comedy antics. Predicting them to knock it out of the park.

About to start ep 3 of Mare, and I still hate the writing, but I'm in for the long haul baby!

I hate that the broke 17 year old is driving a cooler car than almost everybody on this forum.

Also boobs!

It's amazing how many good to great shows Netflix has put out that I had never even heard of because they weren't in English. If you can get past reading subtitles theres another huge library of stuff to watch. When I have time I'll have to list all the non-English Netflix shows I liked that I've only discovered in the past ~year.
Just started watching Thieves of the Wood today and already blasted through 3 episodes, very good.

Saw it mentioned on here only 3 times, so thought it was worthy of a bump.

All 3 seasons of StartUp are on Netflix now(Crackle original started in 2016). Drama, Crime, Thriller with Martin Freeman. Looks like good reviews. Anyone seen it?

The fourth season of HBO Max’s “Gomorrah” will premiere in the United States on Thursday, May 20. I still haven't watched, I have to get really motivated to read dozens of hours of subtitles.

Just watched the 1st 4 episodes, I'm in for sure. It gets better as it goes and its on by the end of 4. It's about a crypto currency startup with all kinds of surrounding things happening.

I am also liking Condor that is now airing season 1 on Epix(originally on Audience a few years back) and Season 2 is supposed to air later this year(already aired on audience). It's a spy thriller.

Ran across a show on amazon that I was surprised that I had never heard of. I ended up watching all three seasons in 4 days. It's called Loudermilk.

30 min comedy. Ron Livingston basically plays his character from Office Space but he is a former music critic turned drug and alcohol counselor.

Yes, and per usual, the original is better. And I loved everyone in the US remake, just not quite as good. The mood is definitely different also.

"That Damn Michael Che" on HBO Max today. It's a poor mans Dave Chapelle Show but its actually pretty funny. It's only (6) 22 Min. episodes.
