That is a new and different point which is also wrong. The only criticism of AOC’s candidacy that I have is the troll votes from politics forums here. Her traits, political or looks-wise or otherwise are wide-open for discussion just like any other Ms. OOT candidate. There should be no systemic bias either for or against her.

The sweet sweet irony is if Mason kills the politics forum it will just move here.

Not sure why Howard hasn’t eaten a ban for bragging defiantly about repeated OOT posting violation.

It is interesting that posters are allowed to directly imply other posters are “******ed” with zero consequence in OOT. This is quite troubling and it seems like TPTB are targeting the wrong forum for an attitude adjustment.

To any outside observer or casual reader OOT has come off looking horribly in this whole fiasco. As a long time member, I am very disappointed with how OOT, collectively behaved.

I think there needs to be a long hard look at how things are operating as I think
the current face of OOT is painting all of two plus two in a bad light.

If it were not for the power of good that has helped AOC to thrive, I would say OOT was almost beyond saving.

However there is a glimmer of hope and with a lot of hard work, reflection and changes we can Make Oot at least average again.

I voted RR and think the hoopla around AOC is extremely annoying and bad for democracy but she's clearly a relevant nominee. *Not* having her in Ms. OOT would be unjustifiable. This is extremely clear cut.

Lektor has thrown in the towel at this point. Basically anyone can vote as long as they (or HT..) asks to be allowed to vote.

300 voters ITT (and I'd expect 90%+ of those votes to count) whereas barely half of it in Sobereno's half final !

Which shows that

1) Lektor will let pretty much anyone vote at this point
2) A solid half of the voters ITT are only here for the trolling/politarding.

Wrong again. Any individual voter can and should vote according to his or her preferences. My only objection was the deliberate recruitment of voters from politics who otherwise don’t participate in the OOT community.

I’m with gregorio on this. I suppose there is an argument that PGUK is talking about democracy with respect to solely the Ms. OOT vote, but that is a stretch.
