The only soccer player nominated I think is Lieke Martens, who I don't think has ever played US college sport.

She didn't make it out of Group D unfortunately.

I don't know but it seems like you never heavily advertised your British origins unlike some of the other British posters.

Group F is dead level between 2 and 3rd place with about a day of voting left. Group H has scores ranging from 37 votes for the leader down to 33 votes for fourth place - still 3 days of voting left in that one.

People can swing the result of either group by voting and particularly by posting pics.

Perhaps. Not all lottery winners want publicity though.

I also don't live there anymore.

AOC gonna ship this ez

Looking through all the groups again, the only really worthy winner I can see is Margot Robbie. The rest are mostly either very relevant and charismatic actresses who probably just aren't quite attractive enough, or hot randos mostly famous for posting pics of themselves on the internet.

It looks like the ones that have the most fat above the waist do the best.

Not sure why. I was once lolling about Americans considering people of Spanish descent to be "of colour" but not people from elsewhere in the Mediterranean area. Not Spanish myself though.

Here's the structure for the elimination rounds coming up.

2ND ROUND
1 Mareli Miniutti VS Lili Simmons
2 Margot Robbie VS Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez
3 Sophie Mudd VS Rachel Brosnahan
4 Yanet Garcia VS Camila Cabello
5 Sara Underwood VS Emilia Clarke
6 Madison Beer VS Karen Gillan
7 G1 VS H2
8 H1 VS G2

QUARTER FINAL
1 2.1 VS 2.8
2 2.2 VS 2.7
3 2.3 VS 2.6
4 2.4 VS 2.5

SEMI FINAL
1 Q.1 VS Q.4
2 Q.2 VS Q.3

FINAL
S1 VS S2

This isn't necessarily the order the matches will actually run in - just who is against who.

Someone more artistic might like to convert it to the spider format if they have a template.

A lot of people have said this type of thing. So what do we think has changed?

Are the candidates as good as before but we're jaded now?

Are there still hot girls in classic Ms. OOT professions such as acting and singing, but we aren't nominating them any more - in which case why are we missing them?

If the potential field isn't as good as before what has changed? Is it related to how younger men don't watch TV any more so there isn't the need to hire hot actresses?
01-06-2019 , 02:53 PM
Entertainment is a lot more splintered than it was in the past; everyone isn't watching the same movies and the same network TV shows. So the celebrities everyone knows by name are getting older, or famous for being famous (e.g. Jenner sisters). Half of OOT is in their forties or older, and doesn't follow what is trending and would be uncomfortable voting for people born in the late '90s anyway, because they look twelve to them.

But I doubt that past eras could sustain a field of 32 year after year, without running into similar problems of either obscure or repeated entrants. Current fields would look a lot more "relevant" if J-Law and similar were in every year but that would be boring, right. Ms. OOT has jumped the shark for at least a few reasons: (1) it's weird that it's being had in the first place (imagine it in like half the internet spaces you frequent -- it'd be like "why?"); (2) the obnoxious and dehumanizing posting within; (3) that it's structurally unsustainable.

The obnoxious and dehumanizing posting within is what gives it that zing of flava. Like jalapeño in a salty snack, for instance!

wow madison getting a 2nd round bye is amazing

Chill, Gregorio! You’re a bit hot under the collar on this issue. Ms. OOT isn’t worth getting an apoplexy.

LOL at +rep voting in this though.

So what's a fair line for AOC to ship?

I'm not sure -1000 is enough. She's probably a bigger favorite than that.

this has to be the worst Ms. OOT of all time. Other than AOC I have only heard of Underwood who was a playboy model 15 years ago and Clarke who peaked about 5 years ago. Im not a huge AOC fan but she deserves to win just based on being the only contestant who is relevant in the year 2018.

I'm guessing this the last year that Ms. OOT runs. If not, it needs to be.
01-07-2019 , 05:09 AM
Pretty sure you would know Yanet as "Mexican weathergirl who went viral back in 2015" and Karen Gillan as mousy looking redheaded woman from Dr Who

And you must have heard of Margot Robbie...

Apart from that I haven't heard of any of the others either. To be fair I'm not 100% sure I'd heard of AOC before this contest either though... She might have briefly popped up somewhere idk

I've never heard of most of the contestants any year about from the returnees. That's part of the attraction for me, to get an insight into pop culture

AOC is relevant in USA only and perhaps also with the kind of British people who care more about Trump's wall than they care about the Windrush scandal. You could still make a case though that it makes her more relevant overall than a lot of the candidates. One reason why I had nothing against her as a nominee and still don't.

The next two pairings are up:

https://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/3...-nsfw-1732817/

https://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/3...-nsfw-1732819/

I am still going to keep the average pace of one new round per day so as not to spam the subforum too much. Just if I have (e.g. in this case) groups C and D open, check them for better pics and quote the OPs for pics and bios it's almost no extra work to put both matches with qualifiers from those groups up at the same time. There will be no new round tomorrow.

Rachel Brosnahan may be the hottest actress in showbiz today and just crushed her second Globe in as many tries last night. She's quite relevant.

AOC's early dominance makes me so happy. If it comes down to her and Mexican weather girl that would make a hell of a finals.
01-07-2019 , 12:19 PM
The girls are just as relevant as ever, it's the aging OOT population who has no idea what is relevant anymore.
01-07-2019 , 01:04 PM
I guess Ms. OOT is being brigaded by Politics.
