The fact that you cannot tell that these are OOT posters who should be eligible OOT voters, and the fact that your new rule change disqualifies all of these OOT posters and hundreds more should demonstrate that your rule change is terrible and should not be used. It is much simpler and fairer to allow all OOT voters and simply disqualify posters who do not meet the correct eligibility requirements.

My ratio is 188 to 28 in favor of OOT but mostly lurk now so hardly anything anywhere in the last year.

I'm not asking for my vote to be counted (by the great Howard Treesong who has apparently appointed himself head of the voting appeals proccess). Any rule that requires this much afterthought to correct is obviously a **** rule.

Just wanted to point out some of the people these rules are excluding and how absurd the entire thing is. I think my first post in OOT came two years before Lektor's joindate but apparently he sees fit to exclude people like me from this contest now. The contest has been losing steam for the last couple years. Gregorio tried to lax the rules to get some new blood in it, and now this year's ****show has done the opposite. It's obv not a huge deal but it definitely makes this contest and the subforum as a whole look like a joke.

I get brigading can be a problem and if you thought the contest was being "trolled" then you would want to do something about it. The P mods used some some bad language in the posts trying to get ppl to vote, but i think the vast majority are "trolling" the idiots who get irrational over AOC rather than the contest itself. Though now with all the rule changes and whatnot people may be more wanting to troll the comp.

Someone like AOC who is moderately attractive physically with an incredibly attractive personality (both imo) only comes once in a blue moon in politics. It's not like something like this was gonna happen every year. I think you had the chance to get a lot of new voters and possibly posters in OOT f you let it play out but you instead decided to go the opposite way. There's also something a little weak about changing the rules midstream of a competition on a gambling/poker forum. I get there arent that many pros who post in this sub or this site anymore, but still.

No jimmies rustled here. I’ve also had a couple of interesting PM exchanges that are clearly political but also respectful and interesting.

I almost lost a $200 freeroll, and all three ombudsmen thought it was a fairly close call in which I was literally correct but a little unfair. Because of that, I’m doubling the amount of the freeroll to $400 on a go-forward basis until midnight on December 31, 2019.

I haven’t appointed myself as a damn thing. I’ve just expressed opinions about individual voters if I’m familiar with their OOT posting. I claim no special expertise either in OOT knowledge or anything else. I definitely think patron’s arguments about voter suppression of hundreds is a wild but entertaining overreach, and I definitely have nothing against AOC’s candidacy here. To the extent jman or others think I’m basing my votes on some form of prejudice, I’ll point out that I nominated Andrea Londo and believe she is this year’s Doutzen Kroes.
